maybe he's not that into you.

"Can you not check your phone every 2 seconds." Mari said angrily at me.
"I'm sorry. It's just that this guy I dated said he will call me." I said as I put my phone down.

"Maybe he's busy."

"I don't think that's the case." I stood up from my chair and walked all over the room, pacing back and forth.

"I think this is the way that the universe is telling me that I'm gonna die alone. It's my third date this month and all they say is 'i'm gonna call you'" I explained

"Third?? Girl, you need to step up your dating game if you wanna get married on time." Boze said

"Oh I doubt I will get married. Every guy is rejecting me." I opened my phone again.
"Hey. Maybe he got your number wrong."

"I typed it on his phone." I gave Boze a look.
"Stop sugarcoating, girls." Damien interefed our conversation.

We all shot him a look.

"I just can't help but to talk through you out." He explained.

"Y/n. This guy is never gonna call you, never in your life." He sat me back on my chair.

"Ouch. Harsh." I said
"You gotta accept it. That's how guys are."

"Enlighten me" I hugged my knees.

"Sometimes we say that we will call you but what we meant is the opposite. And we let you feed through it." He explained.

"Oh wow. Well how would I know if a guy is gonna call me or not?" I asked

"If a guy likes you, he will ask you out. He will not let you wait."

"This is bs." I stood up.

They gave me a look.

"If a guy can say that he likes a girl that fast then why can't he say that he is not interested. Why sugarcoat and let a woman wait."
"Because all of you loves drama."
"I don't like drama."

"Really? You don't wait after the deadline of your internet bill just to see what will happen?"
"Yeah." Us girls agreed.

"See."
"So what should I do? Run away from every guy?" I asked
"No. You just need to find the perfect guy and try not be clingy or else you're going to freak him out."

"Oooh I know. I have a friend from the gym. He's single right now. I'll talk to him and give him your number."
"I don't know, guys." I sighed
"Yeah. If men can play this game, you can too." Boze said
"He is a friend, Boze." Mari threw a neck pillow at her.

"And he is nice." Mari added
"What do you think?" I looked at Damien
"If you don't want to---"
"Okay fine. Mari, contact him A-S-A-P."
"You guys are so gonna click." Mari clapped her little hands in happiness.

I watched her type on her phone. And it beeped after she sent the text.

"That was fast. It's settled you have a date tonight." Mari said
"Woah. This guy is itchy." Boze said and turned to her computer.

---
I walked to the office and put down my bag on my desk.

"So how was the date?" Mari asked me as I sat down my chair.

I sighed, "not so good."

I lay my head on the desk.
"What happened?" Boze asked

"He said 'it's good talking to you' at the end of the date."
"And that's a bad thing?" Mari said

"It means that he doesn't want to talk to her again." Damien interefed again.

I pointed at him, gesturing that he was right.
