Chapter 25 – Katie Peterson

“YOU’VE GOT THAT ONE THING!” I shouted in the front seat of Jackson’s car; yes Jackson can drive—being a Junior and all.

I watched as he winced a little, “Okay, calm down babe.”

I pat his shoulder, “Sorry babe, you know I just love them.”

“Yeah I know…especially that Tomlinson guy,” he replied, giving me a look as we sat at a red light.

“Hey!! He’s not just some guy,” I laughed, “He’s my dream man.”

Jackson touched his heart and pressed down on the gas petal as the light turned green, “Wow, babe that hurts.”

“You know I love you,” I replied, kissing his hand, “OH MY GOD!!”  I screeched.

“What?!” Jackson freaked out and pulled over to a curb, “What’s wrong?”

“Look!! It’s Nick and Jessica!” I pointed towards the “couple” walking down the street and rushed sat out of the window.

“HEY JESS!!” I screamed, she frantically turned her head and waved at me.

“HEY!!” she screamed back; Jessica and Nick ran across the street, trying to dodge as man cars possible.

Jackson turned the car off and we both hopped out of the car, Jessica running into my arms with Nick and Jackson giving each other a bro hug.

“How funny running into you here,” I exclaimed.

“I know right?” Jessica replied, looking at my outfit, “Look at you gorgeous!! Is Jackson taking you on a date?”

I nodded rapidly, “Yeah!! He’s taking me to dinner and then we’re going to Six Flags!”

Jessica laughed a little, “Well, what a lucky girl you are.” She winked at me.

“Wait!” I paused for a moment to think, “What if you came with us?!!? One Direction is performing at Six Flags today!”

Jessica seemed taken aback by my statement and then sighed, “Do I have to?”

I rolled my eyes a little, “Uh…YES!!”

“Poor Nick and Jackson,” she laughed.

“Jackson supports my love for them,” I replied, fangirling a little, “This is why I love him; Hey babe?!” I called over.

Jackson and Nick walked around the car, both having confused looks on their faces, “What’s up love?”

“Guess who’s coming with us tonight!!!!!” I exclaimed.

Nick raised an eyebrow and looked intently at Jessica, “please tell me she’s joking…”

“Sorry, Nick…” she replied with a small laugh.

“WOOHOO!!” I yelled; I opened the door for Jessica and Nick to get in the car, “Wait…babe, can you drive me and Jessica back to my place for a few minutes?”

Jessica raised an eyebrow trying to protest until I slammed the door to the car on her.

“Sure,” Jackson replied with a quick smile, “Do you just want to skip dinner and then eat at Six Flags then??”

I nodded rapidly as we both hopped in the car, “Wait so why are we going back to your house Katie?” Jessica asked.

“I need to put you in a different outfit…and I have to perfect one,” I winked at her as I turned back to look at the road.

***Jessica Montez’s POV***

I told Nick and Jackson that we’d be right back as Katie and I climbed the steps of her house.

The one thing I loved about Jackson was that he treated Katie right—and respected the fact that she was TOTALLY in love with the one and only Louis Tomlinson; even though Jackson looks SOOOO much like Louis.

Katie rushed into her closet and flung a pair of green—yes green—super skinny jeans, a cheetah printed belt, a loose long sleeved, white button down shirt, and a pair of tan aviators.

“Hurry up!” she exclaimed, get dressed.

“What about my shoes?” I asked, looking down at the wedges.

“Here,” she ran back into the closet as I pulled the jeans on; she flung a pair of black TOMS at me. I pushed them aside, tearing the blue elbow shirt off and flinging it into her hamper, putting the really light, white button down shirt on, and tucking it into the jeans.

Slipping the TOMS on, I grabbed my phone, shoved it in my pocket as we raced out the door.

“Holy crap,” Nick rose an eyebrow, “You’re like speed changer.”

I sent a wink towards him and laughed, “I try.”

“We would’ve been in there for ages if I didn’t know what to put her in,” Katie added.

“That is very true,” I replied, stepping into the car.

“Although, Katie did do a good job,” Nick winked at me, throwing his arm around my shoulder. Katie turned around to look at us and laughed.

“Oh of course I did a good job,” she bragged, “When do I not?”

“Very true, again,” I replied; with that all of a sudden I heard ‘Tell Me A Lie’ by One Direction blast through the car. Katie sang the verse and then Jackson eventually joined in when the chorus arrived.

Tell me I'm a screwed up mess

That I never listen, listen

Tell me you don't want my kiss

That you need your distance, distance

Tell me anything but don't you say he's what you're missing, baby

If he's the reason that you’re leaving me tonight

Spare me what you think and tell me a lie

Shit. I thought to myself—I could feel Nick tense up a little at Zayn’s words; I sighed shaking my head.

“Don’t worry,” Nick whispered in my ear, “I won’t take it personally—it’s just a song.”

I smiled at him. THANK YOU LORD!!

I fiddled with Megan’s—or my grandmas—ring and sighed. Megan…I could really use you right now.
