How can someone be as ignorant and stupid as my brother? I honestly don't understand.

"Harley? Why are you back in so early?" My mom wanted me to live my teenage years like she never got to because she was running away from a deranged sociopath, so she would always expect me outside.

"I'm really tired. Turns out Nutella and Oreos tire you out" I make up an excuse so I didn't have to tell her I just made out with the neighbour who's family was still here. My mom kissed my forehead and tells me to go rest and so I do...kinda. I have a shower and put on Netflix. I'm resting...right? Eh, oh well.

I open my draws and pull out my Oreo packet. I had Oreos hidden around this entire house because of emergency Netflix marathons.

As my favourite program was finishing, I hear a knock at my door. I roll my eyes and pause the show, this better be an important situation.

I open the door and to my surprise, Snow was standing there. I tell her to come in and we both sit down on my bed.

"I just wanted to apologise for kissing Dustin." It wasn't Snow I was annoyed at, it was at Dustin. I nod and smile.

"It's ok, I only got mad because Dustin does that to every girl he meets, he sweet talks them and then he's in their pants."

"You don't have to worry about that." I tilted my head to the side with confusion spreading across my face like a wild virus. "I'm not into guys. I only kissed him because I wanted to make sure, I've never kissed a guy so I had to kiss him in order to confirm that I'm a lesbian"

Makes sense.

"Oh, looks like my brother and Tom won't be getting into your pants at school, they have had sex with every girl...every girl in our school except me and Molly cause that would be weird." And that's how the rest of the night went until it was time for the Rivers to go home. Snow had told me she hadn't told her parents not her brother about her being a lesbian because she was worried that she'd never be accepted.

I had to be ready ASAP, everyone was ready and I have just finished my hair and makeup. I knew what dress I was going to wear, I'd been spending months making it for a special occasion and I had finished it yesterday. It was a two piece rather than a dress, it was a nudish, pinkish color. The tip was off the shoulder and the skirt was long with a slit down the left side, I wore nude heels to match. As for my hair it was down in its natural dark waves and my makeup was kept simple as usual.

"Harley, I swear to all that's worthy, if you're not down here in two seconds I'm throwing all your Oreos and Nutella in the bin." Damn it, my dad knew that he could threaten me with everything and I wouldn't care but mess with my precious Nutella and Oreos I will kill someone.

I run downstairs, grabbing my phone on the way down. "I'm here, you can chill now." Ive never thought that it was this hard to run in heels. I thought I would die as I ran down the stairs. "Let's go amigos! We've got a gala to get to."

And so we did, we got into our car and went to the Charrington Hall where Axels charity event was being held at. My mom got a hold of the cars Bluetooth so she was bursting out Mr Brightside by The Killers, since I liked the song I burst out singing along with my mom. My dad and Dustin were trying to block out the sound but failing miserably. Hehe.

And after putting my dad and Dustin through hell and back, we finally arrive at the Hall. We walk in, my mom was holding my dads arm and me and Dustin walked in behind them.

"Welcome Mr and Mrs West." Oh god... Mrs Seacrest also known as Lizzy's mom meaning that Lizzy was here.

"Dustin!....Harley." Oh yeah, the tension was definitely there as Lizzy greeted me and my brother. My mom, dad and Dustin all knew me and Lizzy didn't get along so did Mrs Seacrest.

"What are you doing here? The prostitution club is down the corner." And there it was, her insult of the day to me.

"You would know." I give her a quick sarcastic smile before strutting off where I clash into someone.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry." I compose my self and apologise before looking up. To my amazement I saw the schools golden boy. Joshua Evergreen. Every girl crushed on him but he doesn't date nor does he fuck and dump. He's just a schools hot guy, the smart hot guy. The mysterious, secretive hot guy.

"It should be me apologising, Harley." Oh, he knows my name. I'm usually on the down low except for those times where I slap or punch someone for pissing me off...anyway what was I saying?

"You know me?!" I was meant to say that in a calm tone but it sounded as if I was surprised which I was but he didn't need to know that.

"Of course, you're the girl who punched Lizzy for calling you a slag and then you punched her again the day after for calling your brother a drug addict which broke her nose and let's not forget that you slapped the new douchebag of the school, Ryder." I sense some tension, he definitely didn't like Ryder, the way his name rolled off his tongue was so aggressive.

"That's me, the troublemaker." I say with a laugh, Joshua chuckles and Jesus that was the chuckle of a god!!

And then all of a sudden the music stops and Axel comes into the view to start an announcement.

"Ladies and gentlemen, today we have a new family joining us, they've just moved here so I would like to welcome them by my wonderful niece, Harley West, to dance with Ryder Rivers"
