-Ryder Rivers-
Dustin and I pull up at The Lions' hangout at the same time, I had gotten nervous about telling Hunter and Madeleine that I hadn't followed the plan.
Dustin reassured me as he unlocked the door.
We make our way to Hunters office and knock on the door as we waited patiently for him to allow us access. Once he granted us the access, we walked in and sat down, letting the air thicken around us.
"What do you boys want? You know that this day of the week is the most busiest for me." Hunter said as he typed away on his computer, probably making arrangements for the gangs next delivery.
"Harley got suspended for a week, dad." Dustin started off the conversation, obviously noticing that I was worried. Hunters gaze ripped away from the computer and onto us.
"What?! Why?!" Saying that Hunter was furious would be an understatement.
"She beat Joshua Evergreen to a pulp, she nearly killed him." I explained, Hunter was about to answer but I interrupted him. "He was threatening to kill you, Madeleine, Dustin, her friends and I. I pulled her away before she could actually kill him, but she isn't in the right mindset, she was bursting in tears as she punched Joshua."
"What happened to the boy?" I sigh a sigh of relief as Hunter calms down a little bit more.
"He's under intense care in critical conditions at the hospital, he won't be leaving for a while." Dustin explains as Hunter raises and eyebrow and nods his head slightly. "I told her to stay at Snows for tonight to rest her mind a little, you don't have to worry, Ryder will be there and they live right next door to us."
Dustin had planned everything through, from which house Harley would stay in, to handling his fathers worries.
After that, Hunter had said that we did the right thing and that I should go back to my house to check up in Harley and see how she is doing whilst he lets Madeleine know what happened.
Once I arrive home I see that the girls are sitting on the couch sleeping with Spider-Man on the tv. I wake them up and tell them to go to bed but I told Harley to come into my room. I wanted to hold her close to me as I fell asleep.
"How are you feeling, shortcake?" My voice was soft as I arranged my bed for us to lay down on.
"Better but still I can't help but think that I nearly killed him...in front of everyone." She wiped her already-swollen eyes as she sat down on the bed.
"You know he deserved what you did to him. He was an asshole to say the least and he was a monster, he had actually killed young girls that didn't want to be his girlfriend. If you had killed him, it would've made the world a slightly better place." Her eyes softened a little as she realised that Joshua had truly deserved what he'd gotten.
I pulled her into a hug as she clenched on tightly, realising the breath she was holding. I kissed her forehead and gave her one of my shirts to put on so that we could rest.
She pulled her shirt over her head, leaving her in a bra as she took off her pants, she had matching lingerie on. I found it hard to take my gaze away from her, she's so beautiful that it kills me a little.
"Thank you for being there, Ryder. If it wasn't for you, Josh would've been dead and it would've been because of me." She says as she pulls my shirt over her head.
I walk over to her and hug her from behind. " I'd do anything to protect you, shortcake. You know I would." She relaxes as I speak. "Let's get some rest, you've had a rough day today." I kiss her cheek before leading her to my bed in which she lays down as I take my shirt off and my pants before I cuddled against her, pulling the sheets over our bodies.
