-Harley West-
The night was over very quickly and soon it was one in the morning. Everyone was still chatting...kinda.
Dustin, Ryder and my dad, were downstairs in the training area. Dad was showing Ryder some basic skills about fighting because Ryder had asked him to. My dad gladly agreed with a smile plastered on his face and Ryder also was smiling genuinely for the second time tonight.
My mom and I made some lemonade to take downstairs to the boys. We made sure the lemonade wasn't too sweet but not too sour either, mom had placed slices of lemons on the brim of the cups, she said something about giving the lemonade extra flavour.
We took the jug downstairs along with the cups. Once the boys saw us with the drinks, they sighed in relief. They managed to drink the entire jug of lemonade in less than five minutes, all boys were sweaty and apparently very thirsty.
My dad continued to give Ryder some tips and tricks whilst Dustin showed him how to do what my dad was telling him to do. Mom and I watched and giggled at how serious they were when it comes to fighting.
Men are going to be men, right?
"Harley, come here. You and your brother are going to spar to show Ryder how it's done." My dad called me over, I mentally give my self a pat on the back for changing into leggings and a crop top because if I was wearing jeans, this wouldn't have ended well.
I walk over to them as I tie my hair into a ponytail, not caring how messy it looks because it's going to get messy either way.
Dustin and I walk into the middle of the training area.
"Don't go easy on me, Dustin, cause I sure as hell won't go easy on you." I smirk, whereas Dustin rolls his eyes.
"When have I ever gone easy on you when we fight?" As I expected, Dustin threw the first punch after saying his little...speech? If you can even call it a speech.
I easily dodged it and kicked him in his stomach, earning a loud 'oof ' from him as he clutched it before composing himself.
I go to throw a punch but Dustin beat me to it, I feel hot, gooey liquid running out of my nose. Quickly, I wipe it away and grab his arm, dislocating it. He groans in pain before attempting to punch with his other arm, he manages to get punch me three times in a row, as I feel the blood flowing out of my nose and lip quicker.
He starts to throw another punch but I grab his fist, centimetres away from my face. I jump up and kick his face bring him to the floor, his face now completely busted and bloody.
I spit the blood coming from my mouth as everyone's claps at my victory. As I help Dustin back up, I snap his arm back whilst he groans in pain.
I go upstairs to clean my face but before I made it to the bathroom, someone grabbed my arm and turned me around.
"What do you want, Ryder?"
"You were great out there." He smirks at me as he slowly lets go of my arm.
"Thank you, but I need to clean my face." I turn to go into the bathroom but was stopped by Ryder again.
"I also wanted to tell you that I have a race tomorrow, if you wanted to come." He runs his hand through his hair as he takes a deep breath,
"Of course." I smile at him before I go into the bathroom, splashing my face with ice cold water. My phone rings, I look up and see that the person who was calling me was Josh.
Like my mother, I'm a very curious person so I quickly dry my face with a towel and answer the phone.
"What?" I was still mad. Scratch that, I'm bloody furious so I wasn't going to act like everything was fine. He has been avoiding me since that stupid dinner party and now he randomly calls me when he hasn't even apologised.
"Harley." All he says is my name. Nothing else, just my name. There's a long, awkward silence before he speaks again. "Did you know giraffes have blue tongues? Oh my god, is it just me or do SpongeBob's parents look like cookies?"
He was drunk. I could practically smell the stench of alcohol from the phone. In the background, you could hear loud music and people chatting. He wasn't home, he was out in a bar or club.
I had to go get him, I couldn't just leave him there alone.
"Where are you?" I put the phone on loud speaker, so I could type the place into Maps and see how far the place was.
"At the Oyster. Did you know every Winnie The Pooh character represents a mental illness?" After he tells me where he was, I tell him to stay there because I was going to get him.
I run out of the house and into my car and drive off to The Oyster bar.
As I arrived, I could already hear the loud chatter of people coming from the inside. The bar wasn't necessarily huge but it wasn't small either, I'd say it'd fit around 200-400 people.
I walk in and immediately scan the room. Surely enough, Josh was at sitting by the bar and gulping down drinks.
"That's enough drinks for him. How much does he owe?" I tell the bartender as Josh gulps down the last drink.
"346 dollars." My eyes widen at how much Josh has had to drink. I pay with my card and drag Josh out of the bar and into my car.

"Oops, I did it again, I played with your heart. Got lost in the game. Oh baby baby!" My ears were bleeding. Josh has been blurting our Britney Spears songs, which wouldn't be so bad if he actually sung, rather than scream.
"Why did you call me?" He is thought for a second before replying.
"I just needed to see you." My hands grip tighter on the wheel as he whispers gently.
He wanted to see me? He called me a slut and now he wants to see me. I know he's intoxicated but he has to know how stupid that sounds. I honestly don't even know why I bothered to pick him up, I'm still mad at him.
"You should've thought about that when you called me a slut." My hands have become white as my grip becomes tighter with each minute. Just the thought of that night makes my blood boil.
"The second I said that, I instantly regretted it. I'm so sorry, Harley. I was just jealous that Ryder was getting much more attention than I was, he doesn't deserve you. He's not good for you. I can be what he can't, give me a chance. I love you."
He can't love me. Love is a lie.
