I wake up, however this time I'm fully clothed. I'm in what looks like a prison uniform except it's grey.
The one interesting thing is my wrist. It's in a cast. The worst part about the cast is that it's signed by Max, he written his name in shitty script and signed it off with a smiley face.
There was a pounding in my head. I was back in that stupid cell, except this time there was no guard. No one was there. Just me.
Oh, and did I mention, my feet were chained to the ground.
No one except for me.
The panic set in. I had no idea what was happening, no idea what was going on.
The memories from the other day swam through my head. I could feel Max's boot pressing into my back. I could feel his hands wrapped around my next. Pressing the breath out of me. I could remember the sensation of his claws digging into my skin.
I could hear the sound of my bone cracking.
I swallowed hard. I wasn't going to let Max break me.
He could break my bones, but not my spirit. He couldn't touch my spirit.
An eerie feeling rose up within me. This was abnormal. Far too abnormal. From what I knew of Max's style, he liked big things. Violent and dramatic things.
Thats when I heard the noise. A slow rumbling, soft at first. Then increasing in sound until I could hear it rumbling, rushing.
At first, I didn't notice anything. I stared around, searching for the source of the noise. Only to see nothing but iron bars and white walls.
I didn't see anything.
I felt something.
Something cold and wet, weighing down the bottom of my prison styled jumpsuit.
I swore, my eyes traveled down to my ankles.
Water.
Water was beginning to pool up at my feet, I was unsure of where it came from.
Adrenaline ran through my blood, my heart thumped against my chest. I knelt down, fiddling with the ankles which chained me down.
I could feel the water rising up my calves, it was getting higher and higher. The water was almost at my knees.
The locks wouldn't budge.
I stared around the cell, looking at the corners. I couldn't see something glinting in the ceiling corner.I diverted my attention towards it.
Keys.
I bit my lip. This was the game Lim wanted to play. He wanted to instill fear in me.
I reached down into the water, tugging on the chain. There was some leeway. I would be able to make myself over to the corner. Although it would be slightly hard, as it was just out of reach.
The rushing noise increased. The water was rising slowly. It was midway up my thigh.
I made my way to the corner, I could feel the slight resistance from the chain. I wrapped my hands around the bars, pulling myself up. I was going to have to shimmy my way to those keys. I placed a foot on the bar. I was shocked that I was able to press my foot against the bars.
I pushed, moving my body upwards. My hand reached out, stretching for the keys.
My foot wasn't stable enough. I slipped, falling backwards into the water.
My jumpsuit was fully wet. So was my hair. I swore.
I stood back up, scanning the cell once again. There had to be some other way.
