I woke up the next morning to a note written in immaculate handwriting. Handwriting far bette than mine. I instantly knew it was Luca's. He wrote in cursive, his lettering was almost calligraphy.
I pulled the note closer. Quickly scouring it's contents. The note said as follows:
Melody,
I've got business to attend to and will be busy all day. However, we've been invited to an important event and I'm not quite sure that a denim skirt would be appropriate. I spoke with Andrea and she agreed to take you shopping. Unfortunately, Maria is attending to this business with me therefore making it impossible for her to take you. You don't have to worry about training either, I spoke to Claude and he agreed to let you take the day off. Please be careful in town. Remember, you are the key to all of this.
-Luca
I folded the note and returned it to its place on the side table.
I wondered where exactly, we would be going. It wouldn't be another gathering of the Alpha's. Those only happened once a season. We already been to one.
I rolled out of bed, groggily changing my clothes into something to wear. Since it was shopping I shoved on a pair of black leggings and a grey sweatshirt. I wrestled on my pair of black converse.
I jogged down the stairs, running through the kitchen. I grabbed a banana, as per usual. The only difference was that there was a note left on top of the bunch of banana's.
This isn't breakfast
-LI rolled my eyes, removing the note and tossing it into the bin.
I opened the fridge. It was relatively empty save for a few beers and some basics.
I pulled out a carton of milk, placing it on the counter. I opened the pantry, searching for some cereal. I doubted that it would be good cereal. Luca seemed pretty straight edge about that kind of stuff. He seemed like a raisin brand type of guy.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a box of Frosted Flakes. I whipped them out. I grabbed a bowl and then fixed myself some breakfast.
Perhaps it wasn't ideal to stand up whilst eating, because when Andrea walked in, she sighed in disappointment.
As per usual, she looked glamorous. She had straightened her power-bob so that it fell a little bit longer. She had on a full face of makeup. She was wearing a knee length belted black dress, covered by a long white winter coat. As usual she was wearing high heels, Prada high heels.
She was putting my outfit to shame and she knew it. I was relieved that I was shopping with her, the woman did have good taste.
"Good morning" I said between mouthfuls of cereal. I was trying to eat as fast as possible, I wanted to get this little shopping trip over as fast as possible.
"Hello" Andrea said, she sounded apprehensive.
She was turning her nose up at me, she obviously didn't like the sight of me in the kitchen shoving Frosted Flakes into my mouth. I doubted that she had ever had Frosted Flakes, she obviously would I stand the importance of me having them in my mouth.
I finished off the bowl, washing it as fast as possible.
I spun back around, placing my hands onto my hips and giving Andrea my fakest smile. I would try my best to be civil. I could understand her slight dislike for me. Naturally, I would be critical about whoever Mitch brought home. In the same way, Mitch would be critical about the guy I brought home and he was.
