The next day of training had finished and now that it's the early morning of, I was wondered if going with Michael was the wrong idea to go with. Dani had been depressed, hiding away in the bedroom. She was incredibly angry and sad she couldn't go with to save her mother, despite knowing it was safer. But a part of me, well. I knew it was better but honestly if I was her, I wouldn't listen. Knowing there's something you could do to save your mother but not actually being able to do it is incredibly hard to digest.

Slowly my mind crept back to the dream I had last night.

"You're so beautiful"

The way he said that made my whole body react. His voice was always so soft and husky. I want to hear him say those words over and over and over again, never getting tired of them ever.

"I love you, but you know we can't ever be together, I don't know why you put yourself through this." I whispered softly to him, turning my bare body away from him, the sheets coming with me. I didn't exactly discourage his ideas, but I don't know if I ever could turn down my best friend and love of my life.

"Who cares about the fates, baby. I know what I want and that is you" his English accent was thick with emotion, the passion in his voice so evident.

"But you'll die." I whimpered. God this wasn't fair, not at all. Either we're not together and he has to be with Roslyn or he's with me and puts his life in danger. How do you choose between your fate and your love?

"Only if were not careful, my love" he whispered, turning so his body was pressed to mine. He kissed my bare shoulder affectionately. A soft whimper left my lips and tears clouded my vision.

"I don't want you to die, you're supposed to die with the one you love not because of them" I cried softly. He turned me so I faced him with a stern look on his face.

"I do not care my darling. There was never a choice, as you pose this to be. The second I saw you in my forests I new you were my chosen one, I'll never regret what the gods have set up for me, for us. Do not waste your tears, they are for of no reason. I won't die, yes there's risk because of the disruption, but there always is being a king" he spoke strongly, as if he was convincing a crowd to join his cause.

"Promise me" I whispered

"Promise what?" He responded, letting his hand brush the tears away on my cheek.

"Promise me that if it comes between you're life or mine, you'll choose yours"

"I cannot simply-" I pushed a finger apon his lips and said shhh

"If you do this, then I will marry you and become your queen" I whispered my sacrifice for his.

"Ok...ok" he responded, conflict flashing through his eyes.

"Ok?" I asked

"Ok, I can agree to this."

I had no idea who this man was or why I was having dreams of him, let alone dreams of being my lover. The idea of anyone other than Azrael put disgust in my body.

But then I think about the details of this man, His hair was black, his eyes were green. His clothing so drastically different than typical styles of a young adult. It was all blue and green. It was just like, damn. The beauty was so indescribable.

A frown settled over my face before I glanced at the clock. Should I wake Dani? Or do i leave everyone and only go with Azrael? Or do I choose the original pan, Michael.

"I have to bring her" I whispered to myself, knowing it was the right thing to do.

Rising from my bed I quickly dressed in the outfit I chose the night before, which was black yoga pants, a black tee, a black hoodie and black Nike shoes. I pulled my hair back into a high ponytail and then reached into the closet for a weapon. Last night before my training my dad hid it into my pocket and whispered into my ear its purpose.

"This is a god killer, my girl. It's made of the rarest herbs, oak and iron. You must take it to the king, Kadence, of the forest. Give this to him and you'll create an alliance with his people, trust him. Get more help at your side. His fathers a dear friend of your mothers, one of great respect" before he walked off as if nothing happened.

It's truly beautiful. It's a dagger with a 7-inch blade. The handle was wrapped in green vines that shined in the light with tiny flowers and the blade was silver but inscribed with gold writing I couldn't understand. He also put a small map into my pocket. We were headed to the red wood forest, it's was a map specific on finding this king my father speaks of, I'll have to go one Azrael's asleep on our trip. Everything about how my father set this up tells me he knew id change my mind.

Thank you, papa.

Quickly I leave the room and as quietly as possible, I sneak to Dani and Michaels room. They both slept side by side, with their backs to each other. Tip toeing to Dani's side, I gently shook her awake. She groaned and opened her eyes, but they widened. As she opened her mouth, I put a finger to both her and then my lips and motioned for her to meet me outside.

A few minutes later Dani steps out in sweats and a tee

"Here you go, we need to leave" I whispered shoving a bag at her, one I packed the night before when I first started rethinking the plan. she looked at me confused when I did this.

"What're we-"

"Look, this is your mom Dani, I'm going with just you or alone. But one way or another I'm leaving without your boyfriend, what is your choice?" I talked quickly, knowing I had to leave soon or I'd risk exposer.

"Ok" she responded, looking down.

"Ok your clothes and shoes are in that bag along with your keys, get your shoes on and start up the car I'll be there in 10 minutes ok?" I didn't wait for her response as I grabbed my bag and took off toward the cellar. I set my bag on the couch and opened the hidden door, hastily going down the ladder.

"Rise and shine, Azrael" I said loudly, grabbing a few weapons on the wall. I grabbed a gun holster and strapped it around my waist, shoving a pistol in it. Bending over, I next strapped a knife laced with poison around my ankle, and then I slid a blade in the back-waist band of my pants, a knife with a special binding to not kill but keep someone wounded for 5 minutes before your body heals. It's designed to portray and trick your body into thinking it's dying, but the special binding keeps you alive.

lastly, I grabbed this fanny pack thing with a bunch of vials containing different things to help along the way.

Walking to the door of the cellar, my eyes met Azrael's through the bar holes on the iron door.

"Let's go" I said pushing the door open and then turning my back to him.

I quickly walked to the ladder and stepped aside, going up after Azrael.

"What do you think you're doing?"

There my father stood in front of Azrael, looking behind him at me.

"Dad..." I said calmly.

"You cannot go alone with him, you'll get hurt" he claimed stepping forward. Knowing he couldn't see my arms I slid behind my back slowly.

"And if I bring Michael with me then Dani cannot be a part of this. I won't take away her choice of her mother's life unlike me." I retorted. My hand rapped around the blade handle and I pulled the the cover off slowly

"My girl, nobody else is my responsibility" I kept the blade hidden by my side as I stepped forward.

"I... you're right" I stepped forward and he wrapped his arms around me.

"You just have to wait for-" he grunted as I thrust the blade into his stomach.
He began to fall, and Azrael grabbed him, pulling him to the couch a few feet away.

"I'm sorry daddy, but I have to do this" i said, looking at him with sad eyes for a moment.

"Well that was hot"

My eyes shot daggers at Azraels sarcasm as i got back to work.
