Kevin and I arrive in Churchill, Manitoba, said to be the best place to view the northern lights. It's freezing here, colder than it is in the winter, in Denver. I'm sure that it will all be worth it in the end. This is technically already the second day of the trip, and we'll only be here until tomorrow, because the first and last day are for travelling.
Kevin takes my hand as we settle in our cabin, and I lay with him on the bed.
"I'm so happy you agreed to come." He says, and I smile.
"Me too. Out of all the places we went to, this was one of the ones I wanted to do the most." I admit, and he looks at me.
"Really?"
"Yeah. Something about it, I don't know it just seemed really cool. Worth the terrible plane ride." The pressure in the plane wasn't great for my lungs and it was hard for me to get up and walk around when I needed to. Thank God it was a short flight.
"Definitely."
I turn to face him and kiss him on the cheek. "I love you so much." I say, and he smiles.
"I love you too."
"Remember when we hated each other?"
"Yeah, fun times. I was miserable."
"I know, me too. People would always call me crazy when I told them that you came to my house all the time and it didn't seem like a big deal to me. I always just thought it was kind of normal. They thought I was even crazier when I told them that I thought you were annoying and rude."
"You told people about me?" He smirks.
"It was more so you walking into my house without knocking, and walking up the stairs to Liam's room without saying anything. It would have seemed really weird if you didn't know what was going on.
"You have a fair point." He says, and laughs a little. "You know what people would say when I said I hung out with you sometimes?"
"I doubt you told anyone." I say, and roll my eyes.
"I did."
"Okay, what did they say?"
"Who's that?" He says, and I laugh.
"I can't say I'm surprised. People really only started talking to me when they found out I was friends with you."
"True."
"None of this would have happened if you hadn't decided to help me, and then not listened to me when I told you to leave me alone."
"Exactly, you're welcome, by the way."
"I'm pretty sure I've already thanked you a couple hundred times."
"You certainly have, but it wouldn't hurt to hear it again." I laugh, and sit up.
"Thank you so much, Kevin. For everything you've done for me. I appreciate you so much and I have no idea what I would do without you. I love you." He leans forward and kisses me, and I wrap my arms around his neck. The kiss is really soft and sweet, but I decide to deepen it, because I find myself craving his touch more than I usually do. I run my fingers through his hair and he wraps his arms tightly around my waist and pulls me towards him. I scoot closer and straddle his waist as I feel him tug on the bottom of my shirt. I grab it and pull it off, and kiss him again. I feel my heart jump in my chest as I push his shirt up with both hands. He takes it off as he guides me down to a laying position on the bed.
He kisses in a line down my neck and reaches behind me, unclasping my bra. It comes loose and I pull it off quickly as I force his lips back to mine, desperate to have his lips back on mine. his hand starts to move up the small of my back and a small moan escapes my lips. He reaches into the drawer in the bedside table and grabs a condom. I can't help but laugh.
"What?"
"You unpacked already?"
"Hey, you never know." He kisses me again.
I won't get into all the details though, let's keep this PG-13.

Out behind the cabin, there's a fire pit and a bunch of logs for people to sit on. Kevin and went out and started a fire, and now we're sitting on the log, staring at the northern lights. The lights are blue and green with some hints of purple and pink, and it's mesmerising. This is everything I wanted, and I wish I could stay here longer.
"Is this everything you'd hoped for?"
"And more."
"Really?"
"Yeah, because I get to be here with you."
Suddenly a car pulls up and a silhouette of a man comes out of the car. A couple other people come out of the passenger and back seats, and then another car pulls up, and same scenario.
"Kevin," I say, kind of nervous. "What's going on?"
"They're probably just other campers, don't worry about it?"
"Why are they parked so close to our cabin?"
"Morgan?" One of them yells, and I feel my heart stop. I hold on tightly to Kevin and bury my head in his neck.
"Kevin, what is going on?"
"What?" Kevin yells, completely ignoring me. I look over at the shadowy people and see them running towards us.
"Kevin, what did you do?" I whisper to him and he starts to laugh as the light from the fire shows their faces.
"Morgan, what's wrong?" Liam asks, as he comes and sits next to me.
"What the fuck?" I yell, and they all start laughing. It's all my friends, and I'm so happy to see them.
"Hey, Morgan!" Addison yells, and goes to sit next to Kevin on the other side. Rachel sits next to Liam and everyone else shares another log.
"Was this your plan all along?" I ask Kevin and he nods. "I can't believe you didn't tell me!"
"I can't believe you got so scared!" Julian says, and I laughed.
"I was about to murder Kevin when he responded to you guys, but then I figured it probably wasn't that bad. Kevin isn't stupid enough to respond to someone scary."
"Are you sure?" Ben asks, and I laugh.
"You have a point." I say, and Kevin pulls me closer.
"Aw, I'm so happy all you guys came." I say, and smile at everyone.
"I'm happy I came, too. This place is amazing." Natasha says, looking up at the sky.
For the rest of the night, we all just sit there, sometimes chatting, sometimes not, the fire in front us, the lights above us, and everything feels right.
