My phone starts buzzing and I pick it up, not really wanting to be at Kevin's anymore. It pains me knowing that he didn't want the kiss to mean anything. Plus, it's starting to get late, and I'm getting tired.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Morgan! It's Addi."
"Hey! What's up?"
"Well, Rach, Natasha and I are all having a sleepover tonight at my house, and going to Julian's party. Do you want to come with us?" She asks, and
"Um, yeah, it sounds awesome. I'll be there. What time?"
"Whenever! We miss you, Morgan."
"Miss you too. I'll be there in like... half an hour, okay?"
"Sounds good, see you then!" She says. We both say goodbye and then hang up.
"What was that all about?"
"What?"
"Who was that?"
"Addison, from volleyball. I'm going to her house tonight."
"Oh, cool."
"Were you planning on going to Julian's party?"
"No, actually. If I was with you, I figured maybe we shouldn't go. I thought parties weren't really your thing."
"Well, I haven't decided yet."
"Okay well, I guess I'll see you there." He says.
"I guess I'd better head out then."
"Oh, okay."
"I think this trip is going to be... Amazing. Thank you so much."
"It's cool."
"See you... Later."
I slip on my shoes and walk out, get in my car and drive home.
I grab a small duffel bag and throw in a bunch of clothes, taking out a few of my favorite outfits and chucking them inside. I put some of my makeup in a bag and throw it in, too. Grab my straightener and brush, and all my other toiletries and throw them in as well. For the party, I grab a pair of black leggings and a slightly cropped, black tank top and throw them in the bag.
I zip it up and carry it downstairs, put my converse on and head out, driving down to Addison's house.
To be honest, I'm really glad that Addison finally invited me back. After that whole incident with Rachel I thought our friendship was over, and I'm actually really glad that it's over.
Addison lives next to Natasha, down the street from Julian, about two blocks away from my house.
I pull into the driveway, grab my stuff and knock on the door.
Everyone is already there, so when Addison opens the door, there's a lot of commotion and excitement.
All of my old friends are excited to see me.
"Oh my God, Morgan!" Natasha boasts, and I hug each of them individually. We go to sit down on her couches and start talking.
"Okay, Morgan. Be honest." Rachel says, "do you like Kevin McAllister?"
"Uh... I don't know..."
"Really?" She says, not believing it, but the truth is, I really don't know how I feel. I'm still figuring things out.
"Um, yeah.."
"Okay... If you say so." She says, and i can feel my cheeks getting hot.
"She's blushing! Oh my God, Morgan! You totally like him!"
