"But mom, you know that Dave is on the loose, if you leave, he might take us." Claire said,
"I know, that's why we'll hire a babysitter for you guys." Mrs. Higgin said,
"What? We're too old to be babysitted."
"I know, but I won't hire them just to assist you but to also guard you."
"How many days?"
"Just a week sweetheart."
Claire nodded, Mrs. Higgins spoke again.
"We're leaving tomorrow."
Me and Claire nodded, then Claire's parents left for work.
"Don't worry, we'll be safe." I said,
Claire nodded, we both watched tv, but we still were worried, so instead, we just went outside for a walk, we just walked silently, finally Claire spoke.
"Okay, I'm really scared."
"But at least your parents hired a babysitter." I said,
"Yeah, it's just... Dave."
"Yeah, I'm scared too, come on let's go home."
We started to walk home but Claire bumped to a man.
"Watch where you're going." The man said,
"I'm sorry." Claire said,
The man's face was revealed and I noticed that he was the man that almost hit Claire with his motorcycle.
"What?" Claire yelled,
"I guess, you hit me next." The man said,
He smiled at Claire.
"You're pretty." He said,
"Excuse me?" Claire asked,
"I'm Steve." He introduced as he extended his arm,
"Claire." Claire said shaking his arm,
"Now, why don't you girls come with me."
"No way."
"Come on, you girls seem to be bored."
"We're fine."
Steve then looked at me.
"Jane Lim?" He asked,
"Mmhmm..."
"Daughter of a serial killer, a.k.a the killer of a serial killer."
I raised my eyebrow on him.
"Come on, I know that's true." He said,
"Yeah, it is." I said,
"So, would you like to come with me?"
"We would love to but we can't."
"Oh, okay, maybe some other time."
He left with his motorcycle, we continued walking back home, we passed Mark's house and Jake called us.
"Hey, come here." Jake said,
"Hey Jake." I said,
We hugged.
"I just miss you." Jake said,
"What do you mean?" I asked,
"I haven't seen you in a day."
"Come on, it's just a day, but yeah, I do miss you."
