Chapter Three.
I AWOKE TO someone laying beside me, and the morning light sneaking its way in through the blinds. I slowly glance over to see Gael sleeping next to me. Yesterday was one heck of a day, I uncovered the blankets from over my body, dragging my tireless body out of bed.
"Rise and shine," Keh walked into the room lifting up the blinds. Gael groaned, twisting around causing his back to face us. "Get the hell out, Keh," Gael muttered.
"Gael, you're in my bed. It's been time for you to get up," I said.
"You have something to tell momma this morning and Priya we have to head out to pick up Khalil." Keh said.
Gael flickered his eyes open, facing towards the direction of us. "Who said I was telling momma anything? I ain't never say that. Ima wait until pops get back."
"Well, guess what," Keh announced. "Pops is coming back tonight, so you better get ready to break the news. This can't wait any longer."
"Pops coming back tonight?" I asked. "Welp, I guess it's your chance, Gael. You might as well get it over with. We'll be back before pops even get here so we can be right by your side."
Gael lifted up, sliding on his socks as he sat at the edge of the bed. "Man, y'all really boosting it. You know how pops get, he's going to knock me the fuck out."
Kehlani and I chuckled, causing him to mean-mug us. "Ain't shit funny, I'm serious." Gael sighed.
"You be acting all tough towards momma, so what's the difference with daddy?" I asked. "Grandpa is the one you should be scared of."
"Granddad doesn't play any games," Keh stated. "You better think long and careful about how you're going to break this news to them because they ain't gonna take it lightly, look at how pops is towards me."
"The difference is momma ain't gone actually do shit," Gael stared at us. "Daddy, on the other hand, be ready to box with me and shit, and I ain't telling granddad nothing. Momma betta tell him cause I ain't. I don't mess with granddad."
"Don't underestimate momma now, you were close to getting your ass beat yesterday," I said. "And, she already told daddy on you so it's two things you gotta worry about when he gets here."
Gael sighed before lifting up from the bed. "Ima come with y'all, I need to get my mind off of everything." Gael walked towards the room door. "I'll be done in like fifteen minutes and don't be funny and leave my ass here with momma."
Kehlani chuckled. "Y'all both get ready." Kehlani walked out of the room, leaving me standing there alone.
I didn't actually have time to unpack my suitcase so I had to search through it to find something to wear, after doing that I made my way towards the bathroom to turn on the shower. Placing my clothes on the toilet seat. I stripped out of my clothes and jumped in the shower. The coldness of the water woke me up. Grabbing the soap, I begin to scrub my body down.
