Chapter Thirty.

ANNA WALKED INTO a room that had her client chained up to a table. She was hired by one of her client friends. "Hello, Rakeem. My name is Mrs. Jackson. I'll be representing you."

Rakeem just stared at her, he didn't have much to say even though she was here to help him out—-he still didn't say a word.

"The quiet treatment isn't going work with me," Anna implied before sitting down in the chair in front of him and placing her folders onto the table. "I'm here to help you and only you, but if you don't want my help I could gladly keep you in here. So please respond when I'm talking to you."

"Man, these people in here got me fucked up," Rakeem answered finally getting the memo that he actually needed her help because he didn't want to stay in this jail. "I ain't do shit to nobody all I want to do is go home and see my kid."

"Tell me what's going on," Anna said. "I can't help you if you don't tell me anything. Where were you the day all of this went down? Tell me everything from the very beginning to the very end. Try not to miss any important details."

"Like I told those dumb ass detectives," Rakeem said. "I was home, minding my fucking business. I ain't have shit to do with none of this."

"Are you telling me the whole truth?" Anna asked.

"Man, why I feel like you ain't on my side," Rakeem said. "I'm telling the truth and nothing but the truth, lady."

"My name is Mrs. Jackson to you, son," Anna stated. "I am on your side but I don't think you're telling me the whole truth and I can't help someone that just continues to lie so you have to tell me everything."

"I fucking did," Rakeem said. "I don't think I need you helping me, I just told you what's up and you ain't believing shit I say."

"If this is the route you're trying to take, then let's go," Anna responded, opening up the folders that consisted of information about Rakeem and his friends. She was going to find out what happened and she's trying her best to get Rakeem out of this situation but he's having a hard time cooperating.

Anna looked through the pages. "It says here that they have you on surveillance with your friends which means you weren't home during the time Andre Bullock got shot. So you could keep lying to me and we don't get anywhere or you can put your big boy pants on and start telling the truth. It can go either way, so what is it going to be?"

"Like I already fucking told you, bitch. I ain't have shit to do with this," Rakeem stared directly into her eyes. "I'm not going to sit here and waste my time with you."
