Chapter Fifteen.
MY FRIENDS DECIDED that it would be a good idea to go to the club tonight. I wore a black dress that was silk and clung to my curves. "Bitch it's packed as hell in here," Jasmine said as we made our way towards the dance floor having many people bump into us.
"Girl, why did we decide to come to this damn club?!" I yelled through the music. "All these sweaty ass people bumping into me."
"Kehlani, stop complaining," Lisa exclaimed. "Just enjoy your time out, you haven't been out in awhile."
Lisa was right, but I didn't have time to just go out like I used to anymore. I have my son to worry about now, it's not only about me anymore. "I'm not complaining, I'll try and have a good time."
Jasmine held my hand pulling me into the middle of the dance floor. "This is my jam, lets dance."
My heels matched and were so high I was scared to fall. I let the music take me anyway, the dancefloor vibrating and making my legs tingle. I felt hand's on my waist, I turned around to meet the dark brown eyes of a complete stranger. "I'm sorry, I thought you were somebody else," He looked me up and down. "But I'm glad I bumped into you."
I just continued to stare at him, admiring his beauty. He had long dreads, with tattoos that covered his arms. This man was absolutely gorgeous, from him fit body shape to his chocolate complexion. "Oh, really?" A small smile appeared on my face as my friends grinned at me.
He smiled, showing off his perfectly straight teeth. "What's your name baby girl?"
"I don't know you well enough to be giving my name out to just anybody," I answered causing him to continue smiling.
"How about you let me buy you a drink and we can change that," He offered. I thought about it before nodding my head yes. He grabbed my hand, leading me over towards the bar. "What would you like to drink?"
"Long Island Ice Tea, please and thank you."
"Let me get one of those and a Manhattan," He said to the bartender who was writing down our drink orders. "Keep the change."
"I appreciate that man," The bartender grabbed the money before walking towards the drinks to begin making our drinks.
"What's up with you?" He asked, staring directly into my eyes. "What brings you here tonight?"
"My girls wanted to have a night out," I stated. "They said I need a little fun in my life."
"Are you enjoying your time out?" He asked, grabbing the drinks that was placed beside him. "Here you go love."
