Chapter Twenty-One.

I DECIDED TO go to this house party with Gael. I thought it would help distract me. The house was hot and reeked of alcohol and weed. Many people were dancing against each other, and drinking. While Gael was talking with his friends about something. I sat on the couch just staring at everyone enjoy their time.

"Hello, beautiful," Some random guy approached me smiling. "Why is that a gorgeous girl like yourself is sitting all alone?"

A fake smile appeared across my face, this was the fifth guy trying to talk to me tonight. "I'm just chilling."

The guy sat beside me, sipping on his drink. "Could I chill with you, if you don't mind? I kind of need a break from all these people. What's your name?"

"It's fine, we all need a break once in a while," I sipped my water, scrolling through my phone. "I'm, Priya."

"Priya, I like that," He stared at me as I looked up from my phone.

He wasn't ugly at all. He had light brown dreads that were neatly retwisted, that reached his mid-back. The guy had on this Nike shirt that showed off his muscles and his eyes were a beautiful shade of grey. I don't think I've ever seen him around before. "I'm Nasir, but you can call me Nas."

"Why ruin such a dignified name by calling yourself, Nas?" I asked, staring at him.

"I mean you can call me Nasir if you want too, I don't mind," Nasir smiled, causing a small smile to spread across my face. "So, I'm guessing you came here with your boyfriend. Because there's no way in hell a fine woman like yourself came alone."

"I'm single, sadly," I answered, what Chris and I had was really complicated. "But, I'm just chilling. Enjoying myself not really trying to meet anybody right now."

"I feel you, but I'm trying to get to know you."

Nasir was still sitting next to me, We were talking for about an hour now. "How could someone cheat on you?" He asked, exhaling the smoke from his blunt into the room.

"It's wasn't like we were official, it's just that I felt really disrespected. You know? Like damn how could you care about someone so much and then turn around and do that," I said, taking a sip from my beer. "It's just fucked up."

"Damn," Nasir stated. "I would never fuck up with a girl like you, man. You deserve someone who's gonna treat you right. I know how it feels to get fucked over by someone, I was dating this girl for two years and she turned around and slept with my brother. That's why I'm like just fuck her, and fuck everything at this point."
