**A/N: Over 60 reads already?? Wow! Also, sorry for not updating my other stories, I've had major writer's block with them and got the idea for this one so I just keep going with it. Anyway, thanks for reading!**

Groaning and swearing, Alexander stood up from the ground and looked around. John's backyard was usually clean and well kept, but this time it was obvious it hadn't been tended to in a while. Another thing to add to the list of things that were different about John.

Alexander dusted himself off and walked towards John's back door. He looked through the window in the door only to see an empty kitchen.

Listening closely, he heard mumbling and thumping coming from somewhere inside. He backed up and looked up at the windows and saw a figure going by. Alexander couldn't make out who exactly it was, but he knew that meant at least someone was home.

He reached over to knock on the door again, but before his knuckle touched the door, it opened. His eyes lit up when he saw who it was. John.

Hope flashed in John's eyes for a moment, which confused the shorter man. "Why are you in my backyard?" John asked coldly.

"Y-your front door was locked a-and no one answered so I went around."

"You were gonna break into my house?"

Alexander opened his mouth to say something but shut it. He rubbed the back of his neck. He hadn't thought of it that way.

"John, I want to talk to you. Can I come in?"

John rolled his eyes but nodded, stepping out of the way and letting Alexander inside. "What do you want?"

Alexander looked up at him hopefully. "John, I am not gonna lie, there is something different about you. You're more aggressive and you've never talked to me like that before."

"What are you getting at?" John said impatiently.

"Let me help you. I want to make you better."

John rolled his eyes again and scoffed. "Good luck fixing what isn't broken." He turned on his heels and walked away.

"John please!" Alexander's voice cracked slightly, making John stop walking.

John sighed and clenched his fists. "Why?"

Alexander tilted his head in confusion. "Why what?"

John spun around. "Why are you so adamant about "fixing" me? Why are you so adamant about any of this?"

Alexander stared at the taller man in front of him, wondering if he should say it.
