Alexander groaned in pain when John touched the bruises on his ribs. John felt horrible for hurting Alexander, though he didn't remember doing it.

Alexander kept reassuring John, saying that it wasn't his fault because "it was the creature", not him. But that didn't stop the freckled man from apologizing many times.

John still didn't remember fully what happened before he woke up, but he remembered that he was fighting, hitting against a wall with all his might when he heard he words "because I love you" being shouted in Alexander's voice.

It felt like a dream to him, however, and he didn't mention it. He saw the smile Alexander gave when he opened his eyes; showing also the fear, hope, and happiness in Alexander's tear-filled brown eyes.

That plus the fact that Alexander smiled when John intertwined his fingers in his was proof enough that John heard Alexander finally confess.

John helped Alexander to Lafayette's car, still apologizing at every wince and groan that emerged from the small man. As they drove to the hospital, Alexander's shock reduced and he finally noticed the full extent of his injuries.

He nodded to himself. Yup, He thought, broken rib. All this was Thomas's fault. He didn't quite know how, but it had to be. Alexander always hated Thomas, though there was no definitive reason for it.

Lafayette dropped the two off at the door to the hospital and drove off to park. Alexander leaned against John as they entered through the automatic doors and into the cool building. John always wondered why hospitals were always cold, but now was not the time for a debate in his mind. He was too focused on helping Alexander and making sure he was okay.

While they were in the car, they came up with a story for why Alexander looked like his torso was used as a punching bag that wasn't used very often.

They decided on saying that he was jumped by an unknown individual, of whom would be "remembered" later. Alexander said he would decide what to say about the person's appearance later on.

They slowly and steadily walked over to the reception desk and John told the woman at the desk a vague description of what happened. Alexander was admitted and brought to a room to wait for the doctor and nurse.

As one of the nurses asked Alexander about his medical history, Lafayette speed-walked in and found the others in room 3 after accidentally going into a sick man's room-- room 5--whose name was John Jay.

One of the other nurses came in the room and told Lafayette that he couldn't be in there because a patient could only have one visitor at a time. Lafayette began to raise his voice as he argued in French to the nurse. John couldn't catch all of it, due to Lafayette's words going faster, but he managed to catch the words "this is French discrimination!".

John chuckled as the nurse called security and watched as Lafayette slowed down his French rambling and got quiet as a big, buff security guard approached him, said something to him in French and picked him up like it was nothing. Lafayette was carried back to the waiting room by the guard and sat down quietly.

John looked up at Alexander, who was laying back on the bed, shocked. His mouth was hanging open which almost made John burst into laughter. Although holding back the laugh made his headache worse, John ignored it and smiled, still holding Alexander's hand.

Everything will be okay, he thought.

**A/N: You'll have to forgive me, I don't really know all that much about hospitals or their visitor policies. Just go with it for the story's sake. P.S.: Over 650 reads??  And over 60 votes?? Wow!! Thanks you guys!**
