Thomas walked down the street towards John's house, expecting to see only Alexander there. He lifted his head and stopped walking, shocked. John was alive.
He pulled his hands out of his pockets and turned towards the house. Slowly, he started to walk down the walkway towards the steps where John and Alexander were sitting. The look on Alexander's face showed full well that he was not happy to see him. I don't blame him. After what I did, I'm even mad at myself.

Alexander started to stand up, but was almost pulled back down by a concerned John. He felt like a ticking time bomb, the sound of the numbers counting down growing faster with each step that Thomas took towards them.
"What are you doing here, Jefferson?" Alexander asked quietly, but it sounded more like a demand.
"Would you believe me if I told you I came here to see if you were okay?" Thomas stopped walking in front of the two shorter men
Alexander shot him a look that said 'what do you think' and crossed his arms, wincing at the pain from his ribs. The world was no longer spinning in his eyes, so he was able to look directly up at Jefferson.
"Believe what you want." Thomas looked over at John, who was now standing. "Glad to see you're still with us, Laurens."
- - - John - - -
John looked at him, confused. Since when does he care about me and Alex? We've been rivals with him for God knows how long.
John's mind clicked, and he remembered being told that he was working with Thomas while he was possessed. He was shocked at what Alexander said next.
"Go away, Thomas. I don't want to talk to you. We don't want to talk to you. I don't believe you, that you say you came here to check on me and you're glad that John is alive." Thomas stepped back a little.
"This is all your fault. He was possessed and afterwards, he wasn't breathing for a while and you just ran off, almost not a help at all!" Alexander continued. "I don't know exactly how all of this is your fault yet, but I know it is. I just know."

Thomas stepped back again, and sighed. He thought that Alexander found out for a second until he said 'I don't know how'.
Alexander's hands were balled into fists and he finally finished talking, still fuming with anger. I'm surprised he stopped talking for once. Thomas thought.
"Alexander," he started, "I'm here to....apologize. Even though you probably won't believe me, of course, I can't think of a time we ever agreed, but that's all I want to say." Thomas turned around on his heels and put his hands back in his pockets and started to walk away.
He heard footsteps behind him and turned, watching as Alexander was stumbling faster and faster behind him with his arms out towards him, as if to push him.
"Alex!!" Thomas heard John yelling out at Alexander right before the impact.
