BLAIRE's P.O.V

"Shut your fucking mouth up! You frail girl!" he warned.

Then strike me with the gun on my medulla oblongata and threw me aside. A puddle of blood has already formed around my skull.

"Escape Lily, fast; use the back exit..." I repeated over and over.

But the man fired two shots and left her breathless, beside me...then the sirens and another bullet were fired...

The sound caught my heart; I opened my eyes and sat upright, sweating heavily, my lungs fought for air to breathe. As the days were passing by, my nights were getting more excruciating to withstand. Every night I got swept away by one or the other nightmare. I climbed out of my bed and walked up to the window for unsullied air to breathe. It was absolutely quiet out there. It was a beautiful view with the lights glowing brightly in the darkness. The real view was featuring the main road which was festooned with lights all over, it seemed quite busy.

In the midst of luminosity and silhouette, my eyes caught the attention of something. Some eleven feet away or so, alongside the maple tree, I saw a shadow of someone. Someone was surely standing by it. Moreover, a car was also parked at a distance. The sight even tensed me more as dad wasn't at home.

What should I do? Tensed, my body stiffened and I pulled the window panes.

Sleep was out of my way by then. I sat on the bed and plugged in my earphones to get distracted. After an hour or so, I opened the glass door of the balcony which was attached to my room and went out bravely to take another glimpse. The person still stood out there and I could say that it's a man and he was staring at my direction. I ran back into my room, tucked myself safely in my comfy bed and tried to sleep. I have school the next morning. Finally, sleep came to me when hassle and strain took over my body.

Sunlight poured through the window pane poking me to wake up. I turned on my IPad and logged in my school id. That day was, Friday. It portrayed the day's agenda which consisted of - Geography, gym, then lunch then sociology, English and finally science. Again a new day, a new beginning. I slipped on a shirt and paired it with frayed white shorts. To be honest, I didn't know their standards but I wasn't planning to ditch the party. I walked downstairs ready to head to school. I bid dad good-bye and drove off.

I could feel the heat outside, though it was pleasant weather of August. I parked my car and waved at Jasmine who was waiting outside. While moving out, I noticed that sexy Ferrari parked beside my car. I stopped for a moment to gawk at it and then took another glance at it before finally walking out. A bell rang and we both knew we have fifteen minutes to reach our classes.

"What do you actually do in gym classes?" I asked out of blue.

"They give you a lesson on self-defence, combat skills, your fitness, boxing also," she said with a dismayed look.

"Do you have gym today?" she added further.

"Yeah..."

"Well, I wish you some great luck then," she giggled as we parted ways.

Well, geography was kinda boring. Mr Covington was a nice man but I didn't have any interest in learning about soils water and blah blah blah! The first hour of the day was over. I headed towards the locker room while a guy fell in step beside me.

"Hey, I'm Duncan. I saw you in the cafeteria last day," He beamed.

"Yeah. I guess I saw you too," I shrugged.

"Friends?" he asked sheepishly.

"Sure. Cool."

"So? What do you have now?" he asked.
