Blaire's POV

Waking up to cheesy texts from your crazy bad boy boyfriend was a new experience of the sweet and ostentatious morning. I woke up with a bird's nest on my head,  looking around the room with half-opened sleepy eyes. I sprinted out of the bed and walked up to the window. The day was bright with strong sun rays. I slid the window pane and there was a beautiful bunch of roses with a note stuck in it.

“Remember? I'm the world's best boyfriend!"

I giggled. He always knows how to make my day. I dragged myself out of the room when I found a box on the floor. Excitement surged through me as I tore the wrapper. There was a jersey inside and paper.

The paper read -

“It's match day. We'll host against Meyers high today. You have Jersey right now and it's mine. It'll be my pleasure if my lady wears my Jersey and comes to support me at the game. I left some VIP passes as well for you and the rest of our gang. My eyes will be searching for your presence dot at two pm. I love you sunshine.”

The fresh and lovely start of the day made me happy. It's Sunday and I didn't have much work except for the assignment to complete. I held up the red and black Jersey. ‘Madison Jaguars’ was written in bold black letters in the red background on the front side. At the back, ‘CHRISTIAN’ was engraved followed by jersey no. 18. I dug my nose in it and it smelt like him. For a moment I was lost.

I smiled to myself, feeling like a normal love-struck teenager.

It was around 1:30 when I left my home. I paired the jersey with white jeans. The jersey was however oversized, but it's trendy in the fashion segment nowadays. Golden logo of Madison shined on the chest.

I along with Jasmine, Sophia, and Duncan took seats in the VIP stands along with some snacks, and we were like 15 minutes early. As time passed by, the stadium got filled up and there were like hundreds or even thousands of students in Madison's jersey.

My thoughts shifted when the speakers chimed in and the announcer's voice came into life.

“Good afternoon everyone, I welcome you to the first match of the inter-school basketball championship 2019. Here are Meyer tigers ---”

The students wearing blue jerseys stood up and cheered as the other team's entered behind their cheerleaders. Twelve of them lined up.

“Now let's welcome the host, Madison Jaguars....”

Almost the whole stadium broke out in cheers and screamed their heart out. We stood up with others and my eyes started looking for Christian. Trust me, there were twelve of them wearing the same kit but he stood out even in all of them. His eyes held passion and there was so much aggression in him today.

The stands calmed down as the band entered with the cheerleading girls performing stunts, and both the captains were called to declare the starting line up. After the lineup was announced, the referee blew the whistle, signalling the start of the match. Christian shot me a billion dollars smile as he jogged and stepped in the court. The game didn't take much time to take off as it went thrilling from the very first second it started.

Christian quickly forwarded with the ball passing it to James on the way and got himself positioned near the basket, the other team gave a tough defence but the defensive wall broke down as the ball reached  Marcus and was passed to Chris's hands again and the goal! The first basket of the Match or rather the tournament.

The scorekeepers added two points under the Madison. Christian was like a hero out there, his moves, captaincy, tackling the game and the pressure and at last his athletic build, everything was outstanding. At the end of the first quarter, we were at twenty-five on the points table with thirteen baskets made and the opponents were just at twelve with six baskets made.

After the break, Christian declared a substitute for Marcus for he won't be able to play anymore today, the courts exchanged and the second quarter took off. James was equally good, he took no time and made another basket as soon as the quarter began. Christian aggression during the total game made is a thrilling one. Finally, after a tough twenty minutes, we ended at a total of fifty-two points including two penalties that the team received and the Meyers ended up with a total of just thirty-five.

As soon as the team won the match, there was a great deal of chaos and cheers. Students overjoyed the first win and rushed towards the team. Jasmine just flew across and off the stands to hug James like some sticky chewing gum. Christian shot me a grin and we made it towards our dorm. There's another match this evening between Stephens and Holy child, of course, we will keep an eye but maybe from the television sets in the campus. This week is going to be tough 'cause our school has the next face-off after three days.

“Hey baby doll, how was the game?” Christian asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

“You showed your class, captain,” I praised.

His touch immediately charged by nerves. I don't know how it always works on me just like that. His touch is like magic, an electrifying one. His nose dug in the crook of my neck as his soft lips pecked on my skin and finally pressed a tight kiss.

“Ch-Chris,  what are you doin'? We are in school. Someone will spot us and you know it's high school. Words and rumours spread like wildfire here!"

“Let them, as if I care. Don't panic, " he whispered in my ear and went on teasing my skin with his warm breath and babelicious contact of his dancing fingertips.

“Please, let go ch--, "

I was cut off as his lips crushed on mine and moved in sync, our lips entwined and moved like butter in perfect chemistry. The sparks now seem to lighten up my whole body as electricity ran in my blood. My lips let out a soft moan. It was no less than a drug, once came into contact, it's like wanting more and more of it. Sweet, yet addictive.

Our lips set off, but he laid his forehead against mine, playing with my golden locks with his magical fingertips. He whispered in an utterly seductive husky tone,

"I wanted to say something."

His hands slid down to his pockets as he pulled out a small gift-wrapped box.

“I wanted to ask you out, that sunshine will you be my date for the winter formals, but then I thought that I would never get a no as my answer, so Ms Blaire Willy, I'm here to inform you that you are my date for the winter formals, " he said as he held the box in front of my face.

I took the box from his hand and adding a little weight, I said,

“I'll think about it Mr Christian Woods,” I tried to slide from there and escape when he grabbed my wrist.

I stuck my tongue out and hurried out of the school. I turned front when I struck across someone, our bodies bumped and we fell onto the floor.

Together.
