Blaire's P.O.V

Tapping my fingers on the glass table, I sat in a cafè with James. Staring at my love, my blueberry blush, I murmured a melody tune waiting for the awaited discussion he wants to make.

"So should I ask her out?" Finally, his voice was audible.

"Yeah, you must try. Try try but don't cry. Moreover, she'll love the proposal though," I spoke behind a smile as I noticed him fidgeting with his fingers and making abstract circles on the table.

"Just a min, let me tour once from the washroom," he said, meeting my eyes.

He strode towards the washroom while I enjoyed the smoothie company. I was delighted as the taste savoured my mouth.

"Excuse me Ms." A bold but husky tone grabbed my attention.

I turned to see a man, nearly in his mid-twenties. The instant I saw him, I was taken aback by his physical features and the several marks. His tattoo-covered hand wasn't at all soothing. It resembled something demonic, wild. So similar to Bill.....

His honey-brown eyes and a sharp jawline has a striking remark.

"Yes...?" I asked hesitantly after a couple of minutes.

"Could you please pass me the handkerchief ?" He asked bubbling me inside a suspicious look and never removing his eyes from me.

I noticed a handkerchief lying on the table next to me and quietly passed it over under his surveillance.

He shoved it into his jean pocket and muttered a thanks. He strode off not before projecting a last smirk.

His smirk was so familiar that it resembled someone very close.

I still remember that night when everything turned upside down. Second of may was just like any other pleasant evening of summer and then suddenly turned into a devastating disaster. It was last week of August when I finally started going to school and then a week later I ended up there in Madison's. Sometimes I wondered how it all changed just in a few seconds and a few people. It's October then and winter was just counting its days. Although it wouldn't matter so much for San Diego experiencing sea influence. The next day was none other than our result day of our first QET. Classes were going as usual and everything just felt in place.

"I hope everything will be alright," I murmured to myself.

"It will...," He said as he placed a hand over mine.

"Afterall, we worked so hard," he smiled.

My parents hadn't pressured me for anything since childhood but they didn't tell me that doesn't mean that I didn't understand their hopes. Being an only child sucked at times. Burdened by all the faith and hopes to excel in every field of life. Though they hadn't forced me it was my duty and responsibility to understand their hopes and fulfil their wishes that ticked on me.

We stared at the clear night sky, laying on the layer of green prickly but smooth heads. The stars twinkled at us, showering us with smiles from heaven. Being light-years ahead, they seem so close to our heart. Sometimes those little parts of nature could make us feel so cool and relaxing. Well, I and Christian became an inseparable part of a strange bond. I don't know whether we were in any kind of relationship or not but he cared for me, he worried about me, he stepped up for my protection, he treated me as his responsibility and not his opportunity and my feelings were no different than his. I was so damn fucking confused.

"Are you joining the school trip?" He asked.

"Yeah, scooby doo," I replied, actually Scooby-Doo was his new nickname specially referred to by me.
