BLAIRE's POV

“Punch harder,” he commanded.

“Try to defend yourself from my attacks, learn some combat,” he instructed further.

Those gym classes were really getting up to my nerves. He's such a strict partner. Anyways, those days were quite jolly. We became quite good friends and I kinda liked his real self. I didn't agree with Jasmine about what she said about him. I mean, oh come on its high school and there are rumours all around and especially with guys like him, with whom almost everyone wants to be friends. I didn't know he was such an amazing friend and such a real man. I didn't know where our relationship stood then or what was I to him but I developed some kind of possession on him, maybe a little crush too. I didn't even understand my own feelings, so mixed they were. And on the other hand, I couldn't even imagine life without him.

“Sunshine, today is James's birthday, we are invited,” he said, sponging off the sweat.

Everyone was stunned by his change. They said that Christian has never been friendlier before. Here everyone means my little group of friends. He never let his guards down or let anyone easily come in. I mean, I understand. Everyone has their own way and maybe it was his way of security and self-protection.

“Sure. I remember,” I said, returning his smile.

We walked down the hall, while James came running towards us, grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a corner.

“Woah there, man! What are you doing with my girl,” Christian said with authority.

James arched an eyebrow at his statement and taunted back, “calm down man I'm not gonna elope with her and she's not still yours. Although I know that you are hitting on her...”

I stood confused and expressionless as a pillar.

Christian was hitting on me really??? He doesn't need to, I already crashed on him.

“Just leave us alone for two minutes bro,” James requested and Christian walked off to the other side of the hall and leaned on the wall.

James pulled three little boxes out of his pocket. He opened each one of them and I saw a pair of couple rings peeping out of each one of them.

“What are these ?” I literally whisper yelled, still confused.

“You can see, simple rings Blaire.”

“I want to know which one a girl would like the most!” He exclaimed.

“Aaahaaan...” I tuned and stretched the phonetics.

I took a closer look at each one of them. The first one was a simple diamond crowned on a platinum ring, on which 'together forever' was engraved.

Second, came the sapphires topped on the ring written 'yours forever'.

The third was a greenish stone on the yellow gold but I bet it wasn't emerald yet it was beautiful and the male one was a simple yellow band both with the emblem of 'I Love You'.

I nodded my head in understanding that it was quite a grave matter and then pointed out at the unknown green stone. The greenish emerald-like was so highlighted against the yellow metal that it stood out. I have seen my mother wearing an emerald ring all her life but this one was something different, it had a soft hue.

”Okay,” he beamed in excitement.

“But for whom?” I asked.

“You will get to watch,” he said as he shoved those back into his pocket and ran downstairs in a hurry.
