Blaire's POV

My wide-open eyes staring blankly at the sunroof above my head caught the attention of the minute tap on my window. Trailing down from the bed, I walked over to the window to face a very expected yet unexpected at this moment person.

" Hey, scooby- doo, come on in," I said, my voice light as a feather, a little cold too maybe.

He looked delighted yet very tired and clumsy. There was a prominent shadow of a sleepless night on his face and under his eyes.

" No, I'll just ...uh...come through the door I guess," I heard his silent reply which came after a long pause.

"Huh?" I looked questioningly.

With that, he climbed down the ladder and u rushed downstairs, in my PJs. Coming across the clock, I noticed that it was very early in the morning. The doorbell rang when I entered the drawing-room and I saw mom, keeping the newspaper aside and going towards the door. I strode across the living room and stood beside Mom while she opened the door.

" What is it, honey?" She asked.

Keeping my silence maintained, I just shook my head. The door opened to the same blank, vacant, clumsy and messy Christian as of a few minutes earlier. I noticed he didn't even change his clothes from last night. They both just stood face to face, without a word. God knows, how many minutes.

Did he think that mom would get impressed by his looks? I decided to break the silence for once but then considering it a bad idea, I just stood there as silent as to them. I could see his sapphires glitter. I don't know by what, there was a mixed emotion running through him. Finally, he broke the hard stare completion and stepped in the house. To everyone's surprise, he threw his arms around mom and inhaled. It was as if there was a soothing feeling in doing that. He just hugged her tight for a moment or so as tears rolled down his cheeks and nose turned pink. There was a blank reaction from the other side 'because mom didn't even budge.

He stepped back, again staring hard into the eyes. This time he took a glance at all three of us. He slipped his hands into the pocket and brought out a piece of cloth. A pink satin triangular-shaped cloth which looked more like a torn piece.

" Aunt Mel," he whispered, holding the piece of cloth neatly in his hands.

" Uncle lob," he whispered as he glanced towards my father.

This time it was mom who extended her hand and cupped his face, caressing it for a while.

" It's you then, Christian,"

" Yes, it's me..." He trailed off.

" How are you, uncle lob?"

" Seems like, your 'R' hasn't yet been repaired," he added humour to his words that escaped a short laugh from both of them.

My father's name is Robert but Jamie, that is Christian always used to call him lob as he couldn't pronounce R. By then, I was delighted. I watched as he hugged dad and then finally landed his eyes on me.

" So my Jimmy," he added all the sugar and 'aww' reaction he could.

He came forward and wrapped his arms around my waist as he hugged me up in the air, bringing the feel of gravity-less earth back.

" Jamie," I squealed. Together everyone called us Jim-Jam.

" This world is so fucked up!" I threw my hands in the air.

" No swearings," mom stern as always.

" Like, we have been together for months now, even though we stayed together. How did I not know you? Identify you? How come? " I continued.
