BLAIRE's POV

I kept smiling at my reflection while I tugged my batch on my shirt. Well, the school was pretty cool. We have a pretty cool id and a uniform batch for each student here. I sat in my English class, engaged in a rapid chat with Jasmine.

“Oh!” she gasped.

“I don't know actually what is happening; I mean the roommate thing was quite coincidental, then seeing a completely different Christian,” I rambled as she listened to me in rapt attention.

“I bet no one knows that side of him,” I declared confidently.

“Hmm, only except you darling,” Jasmine teased, playing with a strand of hair with her finger.

I rolled my eyes at that statement and found him sitting on my other side. He smiled at me before putting on the stern look again on his face. Soon the clock ticked by and the sun was travelling down. The day was getting close to end with each hour passed. We paved our way through a bunch of chattering students and made our way to our usual cafeteria table.

“What's going on between you two, hah?” Sophia asked leaning back on her chair, scrutinizing me carefully.

“Nothing. We are just friends dude,” I mumbled out.

“Just friends huh?” Jasmine tuned further.

“Yeah,” I reassured.

“Well, Blaire I'm warning you again. He's not good for you. I don't know how he behaves or how well mannered and decent he's with you but, he'll just take minutes to get you under his skin and then toss you around like anything. He'll not even think twice before throwing you aside. This is how the rich spoiled-brats are,” Jasmine spoke in a concerned tone while Sophia waved her hands at her words. A frown appeared between my brows and for a minute or two, I started to doubt him and myself too.

“Pretty much everyone who attends Madison's is rich, Jase," I commented.

I noticed two girls glaring at my direction from the table across. I could barely identify one of them, the disgusted blonde-girl from history class.

“Who's that?” I asked in a whisper, pointing towards their table.

“Okay, that's Helena The Slut, the girl with dark hairs and the blonde with her is Olivia The Bitch, her best friend,” Eerie whispered.

“Well, she was the girl to be seen with 'Mr. Sexgod' but you replaced him quite soon huh,” Sophia taunted, hiding a laugh.

“Come on, I didn't replace anyone. We are just friends,” I replied.

“Hey girls,” a voice spoke up from behind. We all were somewhat stunned to see Christian, Duncan, and James standing right there. Duncan and James had a sheepish smile stuck to their faces, while Christian was tough. It seemed they dragged him here.

“Can we join you?” Duncan asked.

“Why are you guys begging, man?” Christian put on his attitude.

“Yeah, please join us,” Sophia chimed in.

“Well, okay fine. I don't deny beautiful girls,” Christian said with his usual devil-smirk, and I rolled my eyes.

I wondered to what extent he can be cocky sometimes.

The boys sat at our table, while I noticed Helena stand up letting out a frustrated growl and knocking off the chair before storming out.

Well, French and economics went a lot better because now I felt lonely no more, and at least had friends in each of my classes. It was time for self-study. I waited on the library steps for him to appear, but he didn't. I left the library and went on roaming around the campus. Behind the bushes, at the back of the parking lot, against the rock wall; Christian stood there with Helena, both engaged in a heated argument. Helena clutched at his shirt, her body pressing tightly onto his.

Why is she standing so close damn it?

I gazed at them under a narrowed look, anger bubbling up. I don't know why I felt jealous, angry or whatever I was feeling right then; I just wanted to hit her on the head and rip her apart from him.

Later, that night I ignored him. I don't know why but I did. I was pretending to be asleep when I felt someone tracing the edge of my forehead and tuck a single strand of hair behind my ear.

“Are you okay? I just hope you are...,” His warm breath beat against my cheek as he spoke.

“Goodnight,” he whispered close to my ears, assuming I was in deep sleep and moved on to his bed.

The scene continuously played in my head. I tried to figure out things but it was impossible. My life changed a lot with my new friends, Christian and every one by my side. But a bunch of questions still revolved in my mind.

“This year after the first QET, in the mids of October, we are going on the excursion to...PHOENIX,” Ms Williams declared.

The class broke out in excitement with massive chatter and banter.

Okay, so QET is Quarterly Evaluation Tests but the list didn't end there. There's SATs XATs and the list went on and I needed to do well in all of those because they lend some percentages to the final result of the year and also to the grade points. Everyone dispersed as the bell rang and the only chattering heard around the corridor was just excursion and excursion. I stood in the hallway with Jasmine while I heed someone approaching us. Helena and Olivia stood in front of us, firing us with a dirty glare.

“Listen, you bitch. Don't even try to snatch Christian from me. I will not spare you if you keep getting closer to him anymore,” she snarled, tugging my collar.

Suddenly the crowd was hushed. Each and everyone had attention focused on us.

“I didn't do anything,” I growled back. She strengthened her grip on my arm, her nails digging in my skin

“Leave me, fella,” I said coolly, bearing the pain.

“I won't spare you,” she alleged.

“Well, that's Great. What do you think? You'll do stuff to me and I'll just spare you? Just like that? Nah. That'd be rude. Won't it be?” I replied with a cocky grin.

“Leave me,” I repeated but instead, her nails dug deeper into my skin.

Everything has a limit, I was not going bear anymore. I hadn't bear Della and I won't not bear this one too. Unable to bear the pain, my hands curled up into a fist and I shot a punch on her left cheek.

“Ahhh...” she cried out.

“How was that? You know Christian taught me,” I taunted.

She tugged my collar again, probably was going to hit me while Christian appeared out of the blue and stood between us.

“Enough is enough, Helena,” he growled.

“Now step back, and I don't wanna see you near her again,” he warned, “or else you know me,” his eyes fixated on her. I noticed blood piercing out from where she dug her nails.

He placed a hand on my waist, walking me out of the scene while I heard her mutter, “Bloody slut,” behind my back. I didn't care what she said because I had my friends by my side.
