Excursion day 4

Blaire's POV

“It's already four in the afternoon, get up Blaire. We need to get prepared for the party,” Jasmine chided.

“What are we gonna wear?” she whined.

“Hmmm, important question,” I said with a touch of mimic scrapping my left cheek with my right index.

“So which colour do you have in mind?” I asked back.

“Green,” Jasmine squealed.

“Yeah. That's obvious, your favourite,” I smiled back.

“So what's the problem? Everything's sorted you see?” I stated and went back to continue my beauty sleep.

It was already twilight when I woke up. Jasmine was halfway ready in her green outfit. It was a beautiful dress with a sweetheart neckline and chiffon sleeves up to her elbows. The length just fell a few inches below her knees. She walked around the room with her matching blocked heels.

I rushed to the washroom and almost had a heart attack when I saw my condition. I brushed up myself and put on my white halter neck dress, which travelled below my knees. A beautiful pair of white Dorothy Perkins made the rest. The diamond wristlet which Christian gave me dangled from my wrist like every other day.

It was dot 6:30 in the evening when the door was being knocked. I rushed to open it to find Christian, looking gorgeous in a red shirt, with sleeves rolled upwards and two buttons from the top left open paired with black formal trousers.

“May I have your hand beautiful?” He asked, his charm already playing its magic.

I let out a soft giggle and slipped out of the door, “I doubt you should.”

“Blaire wait...,” He called out reaching for me.

“Sunshine, listen intently. Be careful and act with maturity. Don't do anything childish,” Chris went on ranting and I waved my hand at him ignoring all his free advice.

“Blaire, not everyone is as good and innocent as you are. Do you know what happens actually? We usually assume the world to be as we are. We see them through an innocent and fair perspective but unfortunately, it's not. So think twice before you do something. And lastly, you are being fair to the world but don't expect to be fair to you in return,” his voice grew serious and I rolled my eyes.

“Oh! Please, Christian, stop acting like a big brother,” Jasmine stated.

“She's not a kid, she can take care of herself,” Jasmine declared as she grabbed my right hand and pulled me towards the crowd, while Christian was still clutching my left palm and then he slowly let it go.

I took a last glance at Christian before finally letting Jase guide me. I saw pain rolling onto his eyes. Unspoken pain as if he wanted me by his side for each moment. As if he wasn't willing to let go but had to because he just didn't want to dominate me.

CHRISTIAN'S POV

I leaned back on a table, toying with a glass of plain soda. My eyes roamed over the total span. Hundreds of students spilling out each second stuffing the garden. Within thousands of them, she stood highlighted, her smile was glowing.

“Hey bro?”

I saw James joining me out of the corner of my eye.

“Hmm,” I replied. My eyes never left her.
