Christian's POV

Sunshine, you look so innocent while you sleep, that fierce angry lady all gone in a moment. You don't even know how much danger you were in just a few minutes back and that's all because of me.

I'm so sorry sunshine.

“If I haven't reached on time tonight then they might have kidnapped you, or worse. It gives me goosebumps whenever I think of you being away from me,” I mumbled.

What if I lose you forever?

No, I couldn't let that happen.

I put her down on the bed and closed the door behind me. The first thing I needed to do right sorted out everything that's going wrong.

Because if I'm not close to you, I can't protect you.

After I reached the hostel, I banged on the door of Duncan's room. After a while, he responded with half-opened eyes and a groggy voice. No doubt he was in the middle of his dreams.

I grabbed his hand, "Keep your fucking mouth shut and come with me," I said dragging him to the common room.

"Duncan, do you know anything about Blaire and stuff? Why is she doing that to me? Why is she behaving like shit to me?

"You gotta know that better dude," he shredded off.

"Why, means why do you even care? It's your natural behaviour ain't it? And you deserve that."

"Oh, god damnit, I don't understand. Please explain or fuck off," my voice holding my anger.

"Well, Chris. It all happened that night at the party. You probably slept with some other girl, some cheerleader girl I guess and Blaire saw that...," He trailed off.

"What?" My jaw dropped band eyes came bulging out of its sockets.

"Why the fuck did everyone think I would do that? I don't need fucking anybody else except her. And what on earth are you talking about?" I threw questions at him all at once.

"And the most bloody thing is I don't remember anything from that night. I was with a girl but that was for getting out some secret information and then slowly everything blurred out. It was indeed a huge conspiracy, fuck that man...," I growled.

"Wait for a second, Chris. You were even suspended from playing the last match right? Due to drug intake and something like that?"

"Hmm Hm...," I nodded.

"But did you do drugs?" He asked, his eyes narrowing.

"No, absolutely not."

"Then?"

"I just don't fucking know what's happening in my god damn life!"

"What did you do that evening?" He interrogated.

"Well, the team was together. We went to the outfield beside the pool and celebrated our two consecutive wins and then James gave me a drink. I took that and left for meeting that girl...,” I trailed off.

My eyes were wide with realisation. Blaire's words ringing in my ears, "Just be careful around James,"

"No, James won't do that," Duncan commented immediately.

"Yeah, sure he won't but anyone from the team," I kept enclosed whatever I have realised.

"Buddy, go now. I should go back to the room," I said patting his shoulder.

Suddenly every piece of the puzzle came together and everything, the whole image was crystal clear in front of my eyes. I walked back to my empty dorm room and paced around with a furious heart.
