Blaire's POV

You always sleep a bit more after having a reckless party last night. But an almost stranger beep continuously disturbed my sleep. I tossed in my bed, ruffled and wrapped in between the comforter and the sheet but still refused to open my eyes.

"Good morning," a voice shouted from the direction of the door to which I didn't reply.

It was merely a few seconds more of my beauty sleep when suddenly I felt sprinkles of water reaching my face. I was irritated enough but panic pushed me out of my sleep when a paper like something sat upon my eyes.

I sat up, finally out of my deep and lovely sleep holding my heart in my hands, "What...," I nearly screamed when I saw Christian standing there with a charismatic smile. I looked around to see rose petals all around me, "You," I pointed around, "Did all these?"

He nodded, his pearly whites were on display. I looked up at him with my sleepy-puffy eyes when that beep interrupted again.

"Ugh! What is this noise disturbing me from morning?" Irritated, I left the bed undone and searched for probable things that could make this sound.

Mobile, alarm clock, sports watch and even google home but no success. It beeped again and this time I focused. I threw all the pillows on my bed and all the huge teddies had their ass landed on the floor. With all those stuff dislocated, I found a box nicely wrapped.

Curiosity, you know and I have that in abundance.

I nearly tore away the wrapping as I hurriedly opened it. I gawked at it for a moment and it held the latest iPhone and then looked at Christian. Identifying the question in my eyes, he held his hands up and shook his head no.

"Mom, Dad," I screamed out of happiness randomly picking the house over my head although unknowingly.

"I love you both so much,” I shrieked as I hugged him right almost hanging off their shoulders.

"Thank you for this," I beamed.

"Hey, I got this new headset," Sophia screamed out of happiness, coming out of the guestroom.

"--and this leather jacket is so cool," Duncan's excited voice came out from his and Chris's room.

"We are so delighted that you kids are happy," mom and dad cheered together.

"Well, what did you guys get for Christian?" I asked, my eyes narrowed.

"Well I am not jealous, just suspiciously curious you know," I said giggling

"Princess, doesn't he have the most beautiful and precious thing that we have," dad said, engulfing mom in his hands.

It took me some time to catch the sentence but then I felt it was too touchy and even more for someone as sensitive as me. I danced back to my room and found Christian still in there. My eyes landed in him and I saw him wearing the sweatshirt.

"Are you seriously wearing this?"

"Yeah, 'cause it looks good and somewhat smells like you," he shrugged.

"I had tailored it a month ago 'cause of course I can't sew," I stated as a matter of fact and sat beside him.

"Like seriously? Who tailored this odd tagline for you? I am sure that person took you in as a psycho or something," Christian literally pulled my leg.

My mom did asshole! She's a fashion designer for god's sake.

I wasn't much into cheesy lines like forever together and blah blah blah. So I bought a solid coloured sweatshirt and had it tailored with thread work, "all rights reserved," with a symbol of © and my name on the left. And of course black suits him so good.

"Where's my gift?" I asked, my lips forming a pout.

"That was why I was here in your room that early, but someone had other plans I guess," he turned his head sideways, letting his eyes wander across the room.

"Well, I wasn't prepared," I said as I plopped down on the bed and wrapped my arms around his chest.

"So, here it goes.”

It was a heart-shaped box with a red wrapper but it was very large in size. I opened it without any effort and it was full of chocolates. I was delighted 'cause of course there's nothing better than chocolates in this world.

"Tha...," I started to say thank you when he cut me off.

"Calm down, Missy. There's a lot more,"

Came another box, the same shape and the same design just a little smaller. Curious, I opened it. There stood almost fifty shades of lipstick in it. I was more than delighted and that was clearly visible on my face.

"But...," I started to say when he interrupted me again.

"I know what you want to ask. Actually, someone asked for happiness from Santa and her Santa knows that chocolates and lipsticks are his girl's favourite," he smiled cheekily.

God! I'm kinda obsessed with lipsticks!

"Here," he handed over another box which was the smallest among all but was the cutest heart till now. I felt utterly curious when I held it 'cause it was very light.

"Uh-uh, don't open it," he warned as I started to open it.

Understanding the need to explain, he said, "Because it has happiness and my love for you."

I looked at it for a while, my cheek muscles almost tired of smiling so hard.

"You know what? -,"

" - happiness and love should be set free, spread all around you, me, us," I concluded.

I leaned in into his warm self and a warm peck on my lips pulled me in.

Christmas couldn't get better.

"Honey, come downstairs," mom's voice invaded.

Christian hurriedly stood up and reached for the door, "Well, there's a real actual gift but you won't get it that easy. We should do a treasure hunt sometime soon to find it out," with that he let out a goofy laugh and left.

"Ugh! You're always trouble," I said as my back hit my bed of roses again.

Back to school again. The classroom began to smell like exams already and the freshly trimmed green grass toppling their heads, swaying side by side, screamed ‘soccer coming soon’. Christian was gearing up for soccer though. He loved soccer, as far as I know since childhood. Basketball is a sport he learned but soccer is connected to his heart 'cause it's something he loved.

I don't know why but all the sports and players were on one side and football jocks on another pole. The rivalry was damn strong.

"Ssrup," I slurped my fruit juice and glanced around my circle. Six happy and smiling faces. Instantly, the image of a similar circle back at my old school flashed before my eyes. We were a gang of five girls back then. Last year this time, how different everything was.

The roads of life are so unpredictable and as we go on moving forward, automatically we leave some paths far behind. We just leave our imprints on them. Memories come rushing back when you come across them again in later future someday.
