Blaire's POV
We all gathered up. A smile tugged on each face. I was astonished seeing the changed Christian. I couldn't help myself but smile purely by observing how well he mingled with the group. Although he's still that bad boy Christian to the rest of the school, with whom nobody dared to take a chance. I wondered how we all became came in close proximity just within a few weeks. My eyes roamed around James's big house. Bunch of kids were littered here and there and the party hasn't even started yet. I wondered what it would look like when it'd end.
I passed by the studs, keenly observing everyone. The jocks, the spoilt, the intellectuals, the obsessed photographers, and some nerds too. The party had every possible kind of studs that we generally see in a high school.
I leaned on a wall frame, sipping a martini.
“Hey,” a voice came in like a whisper.
“You are?” I asked, turning my head towards him.
He had dark eyes and was no doubt a handsome redhead. There was a smirk playing on his lips.
“I'm Jason, Madison's football captain,” he extended a hand.
“Player, huh?” I threw a slight taunt as I shook his hand for a shake.
“Let's get straight to the point,” he said slightly leaning in,“ would you like to go out...”
Before he could finish, I stepped back creating a little more space between us and said,“ well, before you ask me out, I reject you.”
“Excuse me? What?”
“Yes, you heard it right,” I said as I gulped down my drink.
“You reject Jason Walker? You bloody...,”
“Yes, I'm. I certainly am,” I said, looking into his eyes.
“A girl rejecting me,” he laughed hard,“ girls die on me, you fool,” he said in between his laughter.
“You know who I'm?”
“You're Jason Walker as you said, the captain of Madison's football team. I don't keep any wish to know more about you,” I said and started walking away.
“Know your class, Willy. I'll get back to you I swear,” he called me from behind.
I wasn't afraid and why should I be? He wasn't the king there but something about his last words warned me that something's gonna happen at Madison soon.
"Knock knock," Duncan said on my face, breaking my trance.
"Yeah yeah," I said, slipping out of my train of thoughts.
"Chris was looking for you," he informed and walked off towards Sophia. Well, only his close friends get to call him Chris. It was kinda nickname.
I spotted Christian in a far corner, smoking a cigar. A few minutes back only I saw him mingling with everyone god knows when he went there. Well, I hate that smoking stuff but it's the first time I saw him smoke.
I reached up to him and he instantly threw it on the ground and rapidly stomped on it.
"You smoke?" A questioning look on my face.
"Well, yeah." He said as if guilty of show cause.
"But I never saw you smoking before," I added.
"Because...umm...I didn't want you to see cause I know you hate it," he said grinning sheepishly and I couldn't deny how adorable he looked.
What's wrong with yourself Blaire!!! Just stop thinking all this stuff, you both are just friends.
