This chapter is dedicated to @faryg3586 and all my ghost readers. Thank you for reading my story.
Everything seems to be going so fast, Maryam thought. It has been more than a year since she met Muhd and she was almost rounding off her studies as she wrote her final exams a month to her wedding. He was the best thing that could ever happened to her and she was so glad that she gave him a chance. The time she spent with him was the best time of her life. It was a month to Maryam's wedding and everything was going fine and as planned. Both families are busy with the wedding preparations.
Zarah was pacing up and down in their bedroom fuming. She couldn't believe it that Maryam is getting married so fast and to a down to earth man for that matter. How did she have let her sister's relationship to went this far? But sincerely speaking she never thought they will reach this place, all she thought was that Maryam is not worth of Muhd and very soon he will realise it and ditch her but he didn't. She really has to think of something to stop this marriage before it takes place and then suddenly she came up with an idea.
Zarah took her phone and dialled a number from her contacts and as soon as she dialed, it started ringing and soon after the person picked up
"Hello Zarah" His voice came in with delight and she answered him
"Hi where are you?" She asked impatiently
"Ammm i am just heading home now from school, anything for me?"
"Well i just need to see you please, can you come now? Its urgent"
"Okay i am on my way just give me like 20 minutes"
"Okay till you come" She ended the call and sat down on the edge of her bed tapping her legs on the floor.

On the other hand Muhd cant get any more happier as his wedding with the love of his life is fast approaching. He came back home in the evening late from work and as he entered their main living room he met his mother and sisters (Farida, Hamida and Halima) making arrangements for his wedding.
"Sannun ku da aiki Mama (welldone mama)"
"Ah yawwa Muhd (oh thank you Muhd) har ka dawo? (you are back already?)"
"Yes mama, what are you girls upto?" He asked his sisters.
"Yaya Muhd we are making arrangements for your wedding of course" They said excited
"You guys should stop acting like my parents, this is Mama's job not your's" They all turn to look at each other before bursting out laughing.
"Well you should even thank us or rather pay us for managing your events like good wedding planners" Their mother laughed at them.
"Don't mind them my son, go in and have a rest now" She said squeezing his hand and he nodded.
"Yes Mama, thank you. And you girls i will deal with you later" He stood up and went straight to his room too tired for anything else not even having food which he intended to do before as soon as he gets home.
Lying down on his bed he dialled his better half's number and she picked up at the second ring. They talked for a while and he said he will call her back later. He also informed her that he will be coming to see her that weekend. That has been his schedule for a while now, he visits Maryam like 3 times or more in a month. She was also excited to see him as she still have some wedding plans to discuss with him.
Early morning Saturday, Muhd left Kaduna to Katsina and in less than four hours he was in his destination. He met Maryam's house quiet busy with people so he decided to go and come back in the evening because he will be sleeping in Katsina. After he has greeted her family he left. When he was just about to start his car to his Aunt's house in layout, someone just knocked on his window.
