Assalamu alaikum guys, how have you been? I hope you are doing great and staying at home. May Allah protect us and our loved ones from this pandemic, ameen. Enjoy the update....
M: I forgot to ask you yesterday, why are you called Alhaji by almost everyone?
Abdulrahman smiled and he always have to answer this question anytime he meets someone new and he knew it was just a matter of time before Maryam ask him the same question. And now after his visit to Maryam's place yesterday, they were chatting on Whats App as usual when she asked him the question.
A: Because I was born on the day of Arfah and my parents took me to my first Hajj when I was 5 years old, since when I was born, my mother told me that everyone in our house calls me Alhaji but the name became more widely used even from outsiders when we went to Hajj then and it never stopped till date. So this is the story behind the name Alhaji 😊
Maryam smiled after reading his reply
M: Hhmmnn.... Well I think the name kind of suits you because you act so matured like one big Alhaji all the time.Abdulrahman laughed at Maryam's response A: Well thank you for the compliment Hajiya Maryam but as the first born and the only Male child in my family I can't help but to act matured. Remember I told you that we are only two of us to our parents that is me and my younger sister Rahma.
M: Yeah, I remember and you are right there, being the first child it's not easy plus you being a male. Automatically you just have so many responsibilities on you.
A: Wallahi you are absolutely right. It's not easy kam but Alhamdulillah. That even reminds me, I wanted to tell you that I will be going to Abuja this Friday inshaa Allah. I have been planning on going anytime soon already but my mother called me that they want to see me.
M: Suddenly? I hope everything is alright?? Maryam replies worry lacing her features.
A: Well I don't think so because she sounded very casual when we talked so I don't think there is any problem inshaa Allah. So you see I will use the opportunity to brief them about you and us 😁
M: And what about us are you going to tell them??
A: Everything of course from how we met, to where we are now and how I want to settle down with you inshaa Allah
M: Hhmmnn... And you think your family is going to accept me?
A: Of course they will, my parents have always loved what I like and they have never not even for once deny me anything I have asked for and I am sure it will be the same this time around too besides everyone has been disturbing me to settle down and now that I want to do it they all will be more than happy I assure you 😊
Maryam sighed feeling relieved but she is still scared of loosing Abdulrahman. What if something come up just like it did the last time? Is she going to survive another heart break?? She asked herself but she knows that if anything else should come up on the way of hers and Abdulrahman's relationship then she is done this time around se dai kawai ace Allah yaji kanki Maryam, she muttered to herself.
A: Maryam... Are you still there? Abdulrahman messaged her because she was silent. The beep from her phone brought her back to reality and she replied him.
M: Yeah I am here, was just replying some few messages. She lied.
A: Oh okay. I would love to see you before going inshaa Allah
M: Why are you talking as if you are not coming back? It's just the matter of few days isn't it??
He smiled at her response knowing that she now really care about him. "Yes my dear I will be there just for a few days but please if you can still make out time for us to meet then I will be very glad.
