He was standing leaning on the boot of his car when he saw her coming. She looked upset but she looks even more beautiful and he couldn't help but smile at her but she didn't return his smile so his own smile faded while his mind was scolding him to behave himself before she gets mad at him. She stand few feets away from him with her hands folded in her chest and before he said anything she spoke first.
"What do you want now? Why are you here again?? I thought i made my point clear to you the very first day you came here so why did you come back? Do you need an official letter to remind you of that, even after not coming out for almost an hour you still didn't leave...." All this while she has been talking he was just staring at her admiringly, she was scolding him but he was liking it. He just wish she never stops talking because her voice is so melodious to him and he can spend the entire day listening to her. She has to tap her hands at his face before he came back from his world of thoughts.
"Are you even listening to me at all or you have turn deaf ne?" He cleared his throat.
"See Maryam i am very sorry for coming back now but i just couldn't take it anymore. I know you have told me that you are not interested and you made your point very clear to me the other day but that doesn't change my feelings for you, in fact they are growing more by each passing day and i am becoming more restless."
"So what do you want me to do now, I should start jumping or what??"
"No i just came to ask you for a favour please." She wonder what he wants now.
"What is it? Say it now i don't have all day." He almost chuckle after hearing her say that because that should be his line but he knows better than to laugh at her now if not all hell will break loose.
"I just need your phone number please, since you don't like me coming here i think we can talk on phone untill things get better between us and that way we will get to know each other very well." She was just staring at him now like a zombie and she was thinking where he gets his guts from, she just finished telling him that she is not interested but he is still asking for her phone number.
"Is it that you don't understand what i am saying or you don't want to understand, which one?? Toh let me tell you this i am not going to give you my number so you can leave now."
"Okay no problem, but i hope you won't mind it when i get it myself."
"And where are you going to get it from?" She asked with curiosity.
"Of course from people or you don't have people with your contact?"
"Well that is your business, i don't care but just to let you know i don't have many contacts and the very few i have will take you a very long time before you get to them." He just laughed at her statement while she just turned around and left.
She met her mother in her room waiting for her and she sat down close to her.
"Mama you are here?" Her mother smiled.
"Yes i am or can't i be?" She asked Maryam teasingly.
"No mama it's not like that."
"Ah toh it's because i know you will not come and brief me that is why i decide to stay here and wait for you. So tell me how did it go?" Her mother asked her with a bright smile and seeing her mother happy like that she couldn't tell her what trully happened between her and Abdulrahman.
"It was fine mama, he was nice just like the first time he came here and we even exchanged phone number." Her mother smiled again.
"I am so happy to hear that and that you have taken my advice, i will not get very ambitious now but i will keep praying for you my dear, Allah ya tabbatar da alkhairi, ameen." She left Maryam's room overjoyed hoping that this relationship will finally work for Maryam.
The night that day both Maryam and Alh. Abdurahman couldn't sleep. Maryam was impressed with Abdulrahman's liver and guts, he has been taking all her scolding and he even challenged her, he is something else she thought and she also remembered the lie she told her mother, what if she finds out that she is lying? What will she do then?? She was thinking of what to do when she heared her phone beeped. She saw a message from a new unfamiliar number but from the content of the message she knows who sent the message.
Still awake or asleep? Anyways i just wanted to know if you are free and we can talk and don't bother about how i got your number, i am a superman in my area....
Maryam was now seriously thinking on how he managed to get her contact this fast, is it that he already has it or he knew someone that has her contact? Anyways she is not going to disturb herself with that thought now, she has to reply him now.
Superman indeed, but for your kind information getting my contact doesn't mean you are getting my heart or attention, so goodluck... And please don't disturb me with calls or texts. This is my first and reply to you, bye.
She reads the messages again before sending it to him. Immediately he saw her reply he sat up from his initial laid down position. He read the message and then started laughing. So she is playing hard to get ba, well he is equal to the task and about not bothering her with calls or messages he is just starting sef.
Well thank you for the goodluck i mean it's a good start isn't it? Maryam if it will take me forever to get your attention then i am willing to do that and i will keep calling and texting you until you give me a chance. I told you before and i am saying it again, i am not here to hurt you Maryam i promise.
She read his message and that last sentence made her bitter, hhmmnn promise? The same type of promise she was made few years back and she was left crushed at the end of it. No she will not fall for men's sweet talks again.
Hhmmmnnn you guys like using the word promise in a blink of an eye but you know what the irony is? Its that you don't really know the true meaning of this word, you don't value it. You just spill it out of your mouth when you want to impress a girl and when you are done you throw both the weapon and the target in the dustbin. I have been a victim once but not again. So back off...
Abdulrahman was short of words after reading Maryam's reply. He is now hundred percent sure that someone has broken her heart before and that is why she has become this bitter. Whoever it is did not try for him, now he has to face all this torture but it shall be well even in the well he said to hinself.
Maryam i don't know what happened to you neither can i change it, but trust me, i am going to bring back that happiness you have lost, i am going to mend your broken heart and i am going to shield you against any sort of harm from others. If you sincerely believe in qadr then you have to accept the fact that what ever happened is part of your destiny and no one can change it. We can not change our past but we can surely work on our future and i want you to take this bold step with me, let me be by your side as a company and support and inshaa Allah i promise you that its all going to be good for you and me. Thank you and goodnight
Maryam has read his reply like a hundredth time, she doesn't know what to believe, is it Abdulrahman's words or her heart that kept telling her he is lying. She slept thinking of how her day went and it was all about Alh. Abdulrahman.
The next day, she woke up all grumpy and not in a good mood, everyone in the house has noticed it but decided to keep quiet. She opened her mobile phone data maybe she will feel better after chatting with some of her friends. She saw messages from a new number and when she opened the message it was from her new boyfriend. He has sent her like twenty messages asking her about her day and what she thinks about him. Maryam just gave a short laugh whispering like seriously to herself, what is wrong with this man ne wai? I think he must be a psycho or something she said to herself and just that moment he came online.....
