seven.
It was November. Which meant that on Saturday Gryffindor would be up against Slytherin in the first Quidditch match of this season. To be perfectly honest I didn't think we stood a chance. With Gryffindor gaining Harry, and Marcus not living up to what he had promised as a Captain, everything was going to shit. And since my little spat with Katie, I doubted I would even be allowed to play which meant another game sitting in the stands.
Potions was my first lesson again today, and after fighting Peeves away from my cereal I went into class dreading what was to come today. Snape was setting up at the front and I took this opportunity to ask what the consequences of my actions would be.
"I have all the power to take away your time turner privilege and also take you out of the first match this season. However, seeing as you are never usually like this I will pass on the subject as a whole." I squealed of happiness inside, the fact he didn't take house points away from me wasn't too much of a shock considering I was in Slytherin. "However," shit, "Any more slip ups, Miss Lestrange, and I will be sure to do something about it." I nodded silently and headed to my desk at the back, taking out my potions book and flicking to the correct page.
Once every one had sat down and was told to shut up, even Oliver who awkwardly sat next to me, we began with a potion that was relatively new to me, I'd only read about it once before.
"Today we will be concocting The Draught of Peace potion. Can anybody tell me what the outcome of a properly working Draught Of Peace potion could do once drunk?" Snape asked and I stuck up my hand like the good little clever clogs I was, "Miss Lestrange."
"The Draught of Peace is a potion which relieves anxiety and agitation." I answered, gaining another five points to Slytherin. When Snape had given us our lesson objectives and warned us about the examination we all began to concoct our potion.
As I wrote neatly in my notebook about this potion and its ingredients and important notices I saw clearly Oliver rolling his eyes.
"Look's like someone got up on the wrong side of the bed." I commented and he ignored me, reading over our instructions before hand.
I sighed and collected our ingredients, setting out powdered moonstone, syrup of hellebore, powdered porcupine quills, and powdered unicorn horn at an easy to reach space.
"Don't forget, it should be a turquoise blue when finished and simmered before being drunk although I don't recommend drinking it." I said, waiting for a reply but none came.
He simply ignored me whilst we started and I knew this wasn't going to work because he kept going to do the wrong things, not caring about the consequences.
"Wood! Concentrate for Merlin's sake!" I whisper shouted.
"Oh shut up." He barked back at me.
"Excuse me?" I asked, offended.
"I said shut up, just do the damn potion yourself if you want." Oliver replied sitting back down on his stool.
"I refuse. You get up now and learn to do this, it's for your own good." I crossed by arms, setting down the porcupine quills I had begun to shake. "Stop being so difficult, what's the matter with you?" I asked, genuinely curious.
"Obviously it doesn't haven't anything to do with the fact you attacked one of my team mates last night!" He retaliated.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked offended once more, "Sure, what I did was wrong but she was in no way right in what she said to me Wood, you know that!"
"Oh, and it's not just that," he started again, "It's the fact you're a complete control freak."
"Well, maybe I wouldn't be a control freak if you did some of the work instead of being a baby and acting lazy!"
