fourteen.
The little time spent with Oliver was more than enough to make me happier and pretty soon everyone had forgotten about the stupid rumour. Fred and George had spent quite a long time making up to me, as they should of. But things were still playing on in my mind.
If Voldemort was really back, what would happen? It was no secret to me he was afraid of Dumbledore so he wouldn't dare try to attack Hogwarts if he was here would he? It was already nearing Easter, and I still had tonnes of questions racking my brain.
I spent my days mostly hanging around with Flora, who was actually quite good company. Even with Flora constantly attached to my hip it didn't stop Katie and Angelina saying mean things in my presence. Me and Oliver continued to chat frequently and had rejoined as Potions partners for the pure sake of Oliver being annoyed by Katie and me being annoyed by Marcus. Oliver was always great to confide in and Katie would often continue to speak awfully about me around him as well which did not do well on Katie's part anyway. Oliver even stuck up for me.
Today was Monday and Potions was first lesson on my agenda so I was lucky to have Oliver back as my partner. After a huge breakfast catching up with Draco and meeting his friends (who were incredibly chubby and pug faced) I went to join Oliver on the Gryffindor table. Percy who was sitting in front of me with a furious look was quite annoying.
"What's bitten your balls Percy?" I asked as I took a bite out of Oliver's toast.
"Um, excuse me, mine!" Oliver snatched it back giggling cutely as I awed at his flushed cheeks and messy bed hair.
"Nothing Lucia." He replied in his exclusive tone. Percy looked a little stressed and I couldn't help, even if I wasn't that much of a fan of Percy, to be friendly.
"You know Percy? If you are stressed over something you should give yourself a break. You work exceptionally hard all the time, give yourself some credit, go find a girl to flirt with or something." I said to him. His freckled face looked a little confused a first, but softened slightly, "Plus I heard that Ravenclaw girl Penelope Clear-whatever fancies you." I smirked. To my surprise, Percy left to the Ravenclaw table and I gave a little thumbs up. He rolled his eyes in annoyance but I could of sworn I saw a little smirk.
"Good job Pumpkin." Oliver said, swallowing the last of his juice.
"Did you just call me Pumpkin?" I asked amused, standing up off the Gryffindor table.
"Yeah." He smirked back as if it was normal.
"You're so weird." I laughed tugging his sleeve, trying to rush him to our Potions class.
After a very successful Potions class we were told to get ahead start for reading on potions set for next year, one of which included Polyjuice Potion. Oliver obviously was very confused.
"I don't understand this potion, it seems so complicated." Oliver sighed as we walked to our next class.
"Because I'm such a good friend, I'll help you." I smiled and we organised a time to meet in the Astronomy tower.
"Thank you Pumpkin."
"Shut up you idiot!" I laughed as he skipped away with some Gryffindors to go to his Herbology class.
It wasn't long before the day was finally over and I was preparing for mine and Oliver's Potions studying. We were going to meet in the Astronomy tower because I was fine with all potions but had tones of Astronomy homework to catch up on so I might as well just do it all then.

Oliver sat on the cold floor of the Astronomy tower as I searched on through the huge telescope for any glimpse of Mercury. Due to British weather being, well, British, I couldn't see anything but cloud and grey skies. Sighing I toppled down next to Oliver. I had leant him a big brown book I had stolen to read from.
"This book is really useful," Oliver beamed, scribbling down some stuff on his parchment, "Where did you get this?"
"Restricted section." I whispered and Oliver laughed at me.
"Trust you."
"Shut up."
We continued to help each other for a while until I was done with potions and was forced to get back to Astronomy. I was never good at staring at planets. Frustrated at my own stupidity I twisted and pressed all the buttons and knobs I could find sighing as the telescope now looked even more blurred than before.
Suddenly, I felt a small pressure on the side of my hip and realised it was Oliver. He was fiddling with the knobs as well. Of course I would never ask for help, I'm much more independent than that, but it was nice of him.
"Oliver?" I asked in almost a whisper, his hand still on my hip. As he looked up and straight into my eyes I felt him getting closer and closer towards me. "What are you doing?"
"Helping you," his both hands were now placed on my hips and I didn't bother to hide my blush, my hair turning a violent pink, "Look, Venus."
My eyes didn't move from his and I didn't bother trying to reply to him. Our lips were extremely close and just as they were about to meet Peeves came floating in extra green glow to him, singing some annoying tune about Filch. Me and Oliver both jumped out of each others close embrace as Peeves interrupted us.
"Ooooo!" He started, "Olive and Lucy! How horrible! Olive and Lucy sitting in a tree, K.I.S.S.I.N.G!" He continued to sing as we both blushed.
"We should probably get going." I laughed, ignoring the taunting off of Peeves.
"Yeah we should."
"Oh and Oliver?" I asked as he picked up all of his parchment and books, "I was studying Mercury, not Venus."
"Shit..." Oliver mumbled embarrassed.
We soon left the annoying company of Peeves and Oliver insisted on walking me back to my common room.
"Keep the book by the way, you need it more than I do." I smiled and he thanked me.
"Lu, what happened before. I'm sorry about that. I didn't want that to happen you know I just-" Oliver started but I just blanked him out. He didn't want that to happen. I should of known. He wouldn't want to kiss me of course. My heart sank at his words. Oliver must of noticed I was rather quite because he quickly explained further.
"Oh no! That sounded wrong! I meant...I only meant that I shouldn't of done that there, with Peeves and stuff. I do want to kiss you! Of course I do, just not there. I don't want you to think I'm a perve y'know?"
"Oliver!" I almost shouted at the boy who was reeling off words endlessly in front of me. The heart that had sank just seconds ago was beating erratically. He does want to kiss me!
"I'll see you tomorrow you lunatic." I laughed, walking towards the common room. But was stopped when I felt a hand pull on mine tugging me back gently and kissing my cheek. I blushed wildly and giggled.
"Cute." He smiled.
"I hate you." I poked his nose, pulling from his grip and walking away.
"Goodnight Lucy." He mimicked at me.
"Goodnight Olive." I mimicked back.
Looks like studying wasn't as bad as I thought. And also, looks like Peeves is a massive fucking cock block.
