nine.

I was nervous. I'm not sure why. Parties were not really my thing but I was going to go and be a good sport, see what people my age got up too. Of course I'd been to a few Slytherin ones, and I'd pranked a lot of the older kids in third year when they were having parties, but this was new to me.

The girls were already done when I was putting on my outfit. I chose not to wear a dress, I didn't like them to be honest, they weren't really me. Lydia helped me pick out a beautiful long off the shoulder knee length shirt that I paired with tights and boots. The twins were both wearing beautifully fitted dresses and showing off their figures as they should, they looked stunning.

They were much better in the social area than I was and helped me with my make-up.

"Holland, curl her hair will you?" Lydia asked Holland as she put the final touches of gloss on my lips.

"Lydia, you are so dumb you know." Holland giggled, fixing a strap on her heel.

"Why say that? I am anything but dumb!" Lydia started arguing only for me to tap her on the shoulder, her frowning brows relaxing as she realised I didn't need to use curlers, I could just, well, do it. They immediately started laughing happily only stopping when Robin appeared in the entrance to our room.

"Come on, are you ready to go or- what?" Robin asked, confused at our stares.

"Robin, you look beautiful!" The twins complimented her simultaneously.

"Oh shut up, we'll miss all the best of the party if we get there late." She shooed us out, blushing obviously.

"You do look stunning Robin." I whispered as we made our way up to the Astronomy Tower.

There was no music that could be heard until we actually went in and I realised it had obviously been charmed. Clever. There were members of every house here, from third years to last. Immediately I saw Fred and George, skipping over to them happily, wanting to find some good entertainment and friendship tonight instead of watching the twins snog the first guys they see. Don't get me wrong. I support the hoe activities, just don't like fifth wheeling.

"'Ello 'ello, you're looking beautiful as always." Fred took my hand and kissed it making me laugh and shove him playfully.

"Oh shut it." I laughed as they guided me to go get a drink. I hadn't tried drinking before and I wasn't going to start now. The smell of fire-whiskey alone made me feel sick.

George had wondered off after a while, playing Exploding Snap with a couple of other Gryffindors, leaving me and Fred to talk for a while. We were sitting on a big yellow bean bag. As we talked I couldn't help but feel eyes burning into my head, so, like anyone would, I turned around. There he was.

He looked, well, amazing. His hair wasn't in its usual perfect state but rather messy, he was wearing some kind of blue shirt and black jumper that looking very fitting on him. He was on his own, which made me a little bit sad but soon enough he had a lot of attention from a lot of girls. Which I expected. There was no denying it, he was stunningly handsome. And then came the smile. That perfect smile. I hate it!

What got me though was that he wasn't smiling at the girls trying to get a little piece of him, no. He was smiling at me. A proper smile, not a smirk or anything else. A nice smile, the one I think really suited him.

I blushed rather quickly, averting his gaze and turned back to face Fred, afraid it was now pretty obvious. Fred caught on rather quickly, smirking and poking my rib cage laughing and getting all fidgety in the process.

"You fancy Wood! And not just anyone's, Oliver's!" Fred laughed at himself. I joined in too.

"You are such a genius Weasley, now shut up!" I shoved him.
