Leaving early had been just what I had needed to think things over. To have a break and get my head clear, plus, with Tonks in the hospital it helped to not be in school. This way I could escape to think for a while, not worry about the lack of concentrating I would be doing in school either way.

Nymphadora's health had progressed a lot and I never left her side for the first two days until Remus had to literally carry me away so I could go home and sleep. It had been another two days of entrapment in my home. The walls to my room looked quite bare and boring and I was sick of the same plain old colour so I had decided to use the money I had for my birthday to spice it up a little. Andromeda and Ted were happy to let me go to Diagon Alley to shop, happy to get me out of my room of course. Plus it was my birthday Saturday.

Before I left for my day trip in Diagon Alley I received two letters. The first was from Theo.

Dear Lucia,
It's weird not seeing your face around to help keep me and the boys sane. I'm starting to think you are like our life support. We miss you a lot. You always seem so happy and peaceful and we sort of love having you around. Even Alex misses you. I think he's a little protective of you.

'Hah, nerd.'

Anyway, I heard about what happened and I'm sending my love to you and your family. I hope you are all handling everything well.
I wanted to ask you a question and I started to write this thinking it would be all heartfelt and sweet, but now I'm writing it I can't think of how I'm supposed to ask you.
Well, basically, you make me really happy, like a lot. You're so beautiful and intelligent and you make me laugh, you listen to me rant and play music and honestly, when I'm with you, I don't care about anything or anyone else. I really like you Lucia, and, although its stupid me asking you in written form (I was going to do it in person but, y'know, I was shy) I would be honoured to officially call you my girlfriend. So yeah, I'm asking if you will go out with me? Is that weird? I hope its not.
If you want to then I we could go out during the holidays? A lot of kids are going to Hogsmeade during the holiday next Saturday and I thought it would be cool if we went?
If you don't feel the same way I understand and I hope we can still be friends, hope to see you soon.

By the time I had finished reading the letter tears were forming in my eyes. I didn't even know why. Theo was so sweet, and truth be told, I did like him back. A lot. Technically it was as if we were already together, we just didn't make it offical. I mean, we were never apart and we flirted and wrote together and now this! I didn't even know what to think.

The next was from Hermione. I was very surprised to hear from her but happy that she was healthy.

Dear Lucia,
Sorry to here about Nymphadora, hope she returns back to her full health soon. I just thought it wouldn't be right for me to not send you a letter, since you were such a huge help during this year.
First of all I would like to thank you for your information on Metamorphmegi as this helped a lot with the end of year exams! Thank you.
Secondly, I wanted to thank you for being so protective over me when I had been petrified. Madam Pomfrey was concerned about you because you had actually left my side. All's well now however. It is nice to know how much you cared.
Now that it has all been over and done with I find it rather funny because of how much trouble Harry and Ron had gotten into to find out the monster was a basilisk when they could have just asked you instead. By the way, how did you manage to escape it without being harmed? Truly fantastic! You could probably show Lockhart a thing or too.
Anyway, please reply as soon as possible and have a wonderful summer.
