We had all earned a few days off. Well, John and I had earned a few days off. Chuck and Sarah, not so much. Casey and I spent most of our time off at the shooting range and working out. I managed to avoid my brother and duck his phone calls until I actually had to see him face-to-face, and on our first day back , I made sure Casey and I got there just in time for the new briefing.

Beckman informed Chuck and Sarah that they were going to be observing the Turners, "the best couple the CIA has ever produced." They might be the only couple the CIA has produced. That seems like the only reason they would be called "the best".

Chuck and Sarah apparently needed to see an example of how to behave professionally and be a couple. Casey's assignment for the week is to train Morgan.

"General, I'll help Colonel Casey train Morgan," I volunteered.

"But what if we need backup?" Chuck asked.

"You are the backup," I replied quickly. "You're observing this mission. That means it's pointless for me to be sitting outside in a van."

"Permission granted, Agent Bartowski."

After Beckman disconnected, Chuck turned to look at me. "Are you mad at me?"

"What would make you think that, Charles?" I asked, a little too sweetly.

"Well, you haven't spoken to me since the night I came home," he began.

"I haven't seen you since then," I countered.

"That's because you've been ducking me for the last three days!" Chuck shouted.

Casey and Sarah chose that moment to see themselves out. I waited until they were gone to respond. "You don't think about anyone other than yourself and Sarah, do you?"

"What is that supposed to mean?" he asked.

"Do you know what I was doing while you were running off with your girlfriend? Which by the way, thanks for sharing that news. I found out from Beckman."

Chuck sat on the table, "What were you doing? I was a little surprised it was Morgan who came with Casey and not you."

I rolled my eyes, "I was reliving my fucking nightmares during Evan's court martial. I was alone, Chuck! All because you had to run off with your girlfriend! So, yes, I am mad at you." I walked away before Chuck could respond.

I walked up the stairs that led to the home theater room in the Buy More where Casey was waiting for me. "You good? We don't need you killing Grimes."

"I have no issues with Morgan. He's safe. What's the first move?" I asked. "Have him get a customer's phone number?"

Casey smirked, "I like the way you think. Then steal Big Mike's key card."

"Then late night shooting range practice?" I suggested. "I know I could use some time down there. It'll be cathartic."

"Alright, let's do this." We stepped out of the home theater room and looked around for Morgan. "By the DVDs," he nodded.

I winked at Casey and strutted around the store, sneaking up on Morgan. He didn't see or hear me, which made his reaction even better when I snuck up behind him and asked in his ear, "What are you doing?"

He jumped and screamed like a little girl! I couldn't help but laugh. It felt so good. "Oh my god! Kat?! What the hell?!"

Casey came over behind me, "Shut up, moron. You have your first assignment today. You're a liability to the team. So, we're going to train you," he explained.
