Early the next morning I woke up with my face pressed into Tyler's chest, and his arms were wrapped around me. I opened my eyes and assessed the situation before I closed my eyes and went back to sleep for a bit. I was warm and comfortable and didn't want to move from his embrace.

When I woke up later, I was alone in bed. I got up and walked out into the kitchen to find him sitting at the table, drinking a cup of coffee. "Morning," I yawned.

"How'd you sleep?" he asked.

"All things considered, pretty well. You?"

"Same."

I poured myself a cup of coffee and sat down with him. "What are your plans for the day?" I asked.

He thought for a moment, "I need to do some grocery shopping to get the stuff for dinner. Do you prefer red or white wine?"

"Surprise me," I shrugged. "Do I get to ask what you're making or is that a surprise too?"

"That's a surprise too."

"Love it," I giggled.

"How do you feel this morning?"

I shrugged, "Better than I thought I would, all things considered."

"That's good." There was a pause in the conversation before he spoke again. "We should probably talk about what happened last night."

"Yeah. I'm sorry I unloaded all of that on you. That wasn't right," I replied.

Tyler shook his head, "It's fine. I just wanted to make sure that you're okay."

"I'm good. I think I've seen the writing on the wall for a while now, I just didn't want to admit it to myself," I said.

"It's his loss."

"Yeah." I'm not sure how much I believed that at the time.

"Go get ready," Tyler smiled. "Have fun with the girls."

I met Jules and Dinah for lunch and told them what happened the night before. I tried not to let too much emotion out about it. I was tired of pushing people away with my bullshit.

Lunch was fun. As much as I tried to keep my feelings to myself, Jules and Dinah pulled them out. It felt as good as therapy in some ways. Except, therapy doesn't usually end in massages. I guess Tyler had managed to pull a few strings and get the three of us a spa day that afternoon.

"So are you going back to Burbank for your stuff?" Dinah asked.

"Yeah. Our flight is Friday morning. We're hoping to be back by Monday. Personally, I just want to make it in and out before Casey gets home. I don't want that confrontation," I explained.

"That's going to be uncomfortable," Jules mumbled.

"Which is why I'd rather avoid it."

It was a decent afternoon, I was so relaxed by the time I got home, I forgot that Tyler was making dinner. He had everything ready by the time I got back.

"This smells amazing," I smiled, taking my coat off.

"Good. I spent most of the afternoon on it," Tyler replied, handing me a glass of wine. "How was your day?"

"It was pretty great, I'm not going to lie," I said, sitting down at the table. "Thanks for arranging the spa day."

"You needed it."

"Is there anything I can do to help?" I offered. "I feel like I'm putting all the work on you."

"Nope. This is my treat to you." He put his wine glass down on the table, and turned back to the counter. When Tyler came back, he had two plates full of food.
