Beatnik Willy in the Morning
©2018, Olan L. Smith
Rat Scat and double panic attack
Who beats on my door this morn?
Is it the clang of clutter, or is
It Annabel hanging pots on the rack?
Pistol-banger and cap-shooter-attack
Who hunts me down this playful morn?
Is it you Tonto, dearest friend that ever is,
Or is Annabel Lee my darling cousin back?
Sit on my whack-whack, silly quack bird attack
Who hunts you, feathered bird of morn?
Is it you, bang-bang shoot 'em upper is,
Or is it Annabel Lee astride her cousin, back?
Alas, it's nothing more than Never More
The hottest girl never seen before
Sitting on my bed, my gracious golly, I swore;
Who sends this silly be kind to Willy whore?
