Write Songs for the Muse
c. 28-DEC-2018, Olan L. Smith
Come near the sprite in the glen,
And commune with the pixie's windfall,
For the muse rejoices when you write
Her song, and sings with enthusiasm, praise.
As the sun dawns in the east we will soon
Feel the coolness of its waning
It's the ebb and flow, the course is set
For all mortality to kneel to love's grace.
So, sing praise to all things living and dead,
Give toasts the morning dew
And mourn the last of the twilight;
Sing of the muse, for tomorrow is come.
