Lament: Thunder and Ash

Oh, to be washed into the sea
By your heavy belch that lights the world
Ablaze, and sends the sea to our doors
From across the great blue waves; islands
May never be again because of you.
When day does come to eve, great
Eyes in the sky sees you explode, enough
To wake the world in sound and waves.
Suddenly for the Tongans, it is time to
Flee, as day turns to thunder and ash.
