Acrostic: Hospice Care for my Brother

Hades suffers a planet; is Alzheimer's disease a reminder?

One last glance is forever lost in oblivion on a

Stick covered in thorns, and those spikes are meant to kill;

Pierce every memory of who you are, and everything

In you, that is you. Come brother the fight is over;

Come Sister, your worries are done,

Eventually, all things end. Don't they? What is hope, till

Challenge is removed, and barricades remain till they

Are removed, and you float into the ether, before your time.

Recline the essence trapped in your body, and respect

Emptiness of soul forever lost in the hope of family.

Forgotten selves by the millions; shadows walking with us.

Openness of the survivor says, there goes me into oblivion,

Remember me; consider my words, and ponder

My personality in my works;

Yet, I am on this cliff with you. Brother, you're not alone.

Bravery doesn't leave when meets the ending. You're gone,

Reminiscences float my soul, nostalgia roasting

On an open flame,

The musing burns becoming dust, but emotions remain;

Hence, you remain with me. I run the gambit of

Emotions, even in solitude; I in my tears, and can't find peace.

Remember, remember, please remember.

(A.N. This poem is dedicate to my brother and my sister-in-law)
