You two come from two different worlds, and at first that was okay, it added diversity, character, and everything you weren't, he was. It started out like one of those fairy tales you see in those Disney movies, and you could've sworn that you were in your own perfect world where nothing could go wrong. But reality slowly started seeping it's way into your cracked peeled walls and your broken windows that you patched up with plastic and duct tape.
The love y'all had for each other was being tested with every further notice bill placed in your mail box, with every over due bill sprawled out on the kitchen counter, with every leaky faucet that couldn't be fixed.
And you were beginning to think that maybe his boyish personality, his layed back mentality, his obsession with rapping and writing lyrics, weren't such good qualities after all.
Because unfortunately none of those traits were paying the bills.
And then he was starting to think that maybe your organization, can do, and work driven personality wasn't exactly the most endearing qualities about you.
But if there was one thing you did have in common, it was you were both broke, and both in a lot of debt.
And that didn't sound like a good love story at all.
So now you both sat in silence, not because you wanted too, but you couldn't afford the cable bill because you both agreed that you didn't wanna starve.
"We should never break up." He said breaking the silence as you turned from the magazine you were reading to face him.
"I think we might be wrong for each other.." You admitted feeling your heart sting a bit as you said it.
"But we're perfectly wrong, there's a difference." He countered.
"Marshall-"
"Your literally everything that i'm not, and that is amazing to me, we're different yes, but I couldn't be more happy that we don't always agree, You like Ketchup, I prefer ranch, you like country and rock, I like rap and hip hop, yeah we're different but that makes us perfect." He defended.
"Do you really believe that?" You asked him. "Because the over due bills and the letters threatening to kick us out of our apartment says otherwise." You continued.
"We'll get past this, but you gotta trust me, trust us." He nearly begged looking at your tired face that showed all your stress and worries and he wanted nothing more than to fix it.
"What if we don't work?" You spoke.
"What if we do?" He countered almost making you smile.
"What if we don't?" You asked again.
"And what if we do, what if we not only work, but we get married, live in a huge house, have children and never have to worry about another financial problem ever again?" He asked looking at your doubtful face.
"Mars-"
"Look, life is full of what if's, but your not one of them, I know exactly how I feel about you and I know exactly where we could be..that's why you gotta trust me." He stressed.
"Even though we're perfectly wrong?" You wondered.
"Especially if we're perfectly wrong." He smiled causing you to laugh a bit as his goofiness, but then you realized yeah, you two were perfectly wrong for each other, but that's why you chose him in the first place.
