-10 year time skip-

"Angela, come down stairs and get your breakfast for you won't miss the bus!" I yelled rolling my eyes at the clock that told me we were definitely running late.

"Coming!" She said pounding down the stairs sounding like a small elephant heard.

I watched as she quickly took a bite out of her waffle and a sip of orange juice and grabbed her book bag that was waiting at the door. But I couldn't help but notice she looked a lot more dressed up than usual.

"Oh, who's the boy?" I smirked catching her off guard.

"No one, a girl can't look nice?" She asked placing her hands on her hips.

"Not the girl who usually wears Green Day t shirts and thinks a jean skirt with leggings is called formal attire." I smirked.

"Hmph, well your dressed up too, who are you trying to impress?" She said shooting me a devilish smile.

"Uncle Marshall maybe?" She continued.

"That's it little girl, go to school!!" I yelled realizing that girl was way to observant for her own good.

"Alright, Alright i'm going, but mom remember, don't do anything I wouldn't do." She winked.

"Little girl!!" I snapped.

"Bye!" She said heading out the door right when Marshall was entering.

"Oh heyy Uncle Marshall.." She laughed giving him a hug.

"Hey sweetie, you off to school?" He asked returning the hug.

"Yep." She said already seeing the bus waiting at the bus stop and some kids piling on and more importantly her current crush who looked good even from a far.

"Well tell Hailie that i'm going to be late at the studio tonight and that they can just order pizza." He instructed.

"Alright will do bye!" She said running towards the bus leaving just the two of them.

"What was that about?" Marshall laughed sitting down at the kitchen island stealing a piece of sausage.

"She's got some type of crush on some boy." I laughed.

"Oh man, already? They're at that age?" Marshall sighed.

"Marshall we knew this day was coming.." I reminded watching him roll his eyes and bite a piece of toast in frustration.

"Anyway, what's on the agenda today, where's proof?" I asked already having my planner ready in case Paul had added some more things we needed to accomplish for today.

"Nothing's on the Agenda and Proof's out at some bar." He shrugged picking some waffles up with a fork to put on his plate and grabbing some syrup to pour onto them.

"Huh?" I asked clearly confused as to what he meant by nothing. "You just told Angela you had to work late at the studio."

"Eh I lied, but don't clear your schedule just yet." He said talking with his mouth full and some syrup was already running down his chin.

"Ew, what are you 5?" I asked handing him a wet towel to wipe his sticky chin off with.

"We're going out." He said rubbing the syrup off.

"Going out?" I repeated feeling my heart beat quicken just at the pure chance he was really asking me on a date.

"Yup, so change into something comfortable and preferably black and let's get moving." He ordered.

"But where-"

"Kiana, you ask to many questions it's like you don't trust me." He pouted.

"That's because I don't." I answered watching his face morph into one of disbelief.
