You and Marshall had been avoiding each other like the plague it seemed as of late.
You knew he had a crush on you because Denaun and basically everybody else in the Mathers household had managed to tell you.
Accept the main person himself.
You both had been working on his album together, but you were also currently working on your own as well. He was giving you ideas on different beats and melodies, and you were helping him do some back vocals on his songs for choruses.
Through this process though, you both had been sneaking side glances at each other occasionally, to the point Denaun one day straight up left the studio mumbling something about wayy to much tension in the room and going to play video games.
You were pretty frustrated though, you didn't want to be the first person to make a move, even though you were completely in love with him. You knew he had been hurt many many times in the past. And it must be really rough for him to open up and boldly confess his feelings towards you.
But you were honestly getting impatient, you'd wish he'd do something already.
So to ease some of your frustration on him avoiding you, you decided you were at your best song writing wise when you were upset.
And that's how you managed to produce this song you were about to play for him today as well as the entire Mathers family and of course Denaun.
In hopes that maybe he would get the frickin hint.
You swear that man could be so oblivious at times.
"So I want you all to hear this song for my album, tell me if it's any good." I said speaking to everyone who all nodded.
"I frickin love your songs." Hailie said standing next to her boyfriend of some years now.
You couldn't help but be fearful that Hailie would manage to get engaged and married before you.
"Is it gonna make me cry? Cause I forgot to bring tissues." Nathan said seriously.
"I got you babe!" His wife said quickly pulling a whole box of tissues out her purse.
"How did you fit that in there?" Nate asked.
"Bruh, don't ever question a woman and her purse." Denaun said smacking Nate upside the head.
"Yeah I raised you better than that." Marshall scolded half way teasing, half way not.
"Can we hear the song?" Whitney sighed shaking her head wondering how in the world these people were her family members.
I laughed, "Yeah everyone know their parts?" I asked Hailie, Alaina, and Whitney, I had assigned them to help me sing the last chorus, so it would kind of have a choir affect that I was hoping to add in the final version.
"Got it." They all said in unison, happy to be a apart of the song.
Meanwhile Hailie shot her dad smirks knowing good and well what this song was about and was praying that her dad would get the hint.
"Alright let's go." I said straightening my posture on the piano and beginning to sing and play a few notes.
A:N MUST PLAY SONG!!!! OR ELSE THIS IMAGINE IS KINDA POINTLESS!!!
"I'll fix the strings and play my part
I know the pain that's in your heart
I've tread the distance, near or far
Just wanna be right where you are
I know love has been a stranger to you
Maybe I'm the one to change it for you
Won't be easy 'cause lessons feel new
But the writing on the wall.." I began already seeing Nate tear up on the side.
