Chapter 19

After school, I stepped into my house and yelled "Mom?", loudly.

"Yes sweetie?" She said running and then walking down the stairs. Ugh, 'sweetie?', again?

"Hey, um a couple of my 'old' friends invited me to a party tonight, can I go?" I said I avoided like I knew she would say yes.

"Party? Which who?" She said.

"Um Katie Fitch is hosting." I said worried.

"Oh, no sweetie. You can't go. I'm sorry. But not with HER." she remarked.

"And why is that?" I asked in a snotty way.

"Because!" My mom said with her hands on her hips. I stomped up the stairs and jumped on my bed. I pulled out my phone a texted Hayes.

Me: hey

Hayes: hi. What's up.

Me: partyless, wbu?

Hayes: you were invited too? I'm going. Sorry babe.

Me: it's okay😒

Hayes: COME OVER TO MY HOUSE. I HAVE AN IDEA. ITS GOOD.

Me: ummmm.. Okay?

I went over and rang the door bell. This brunette lady answered the door.

"Hi! I'm Mrs.Grier, how can I help you?" She said. Ooh Hayes mom.

"Um, Hayes invited me over." I said shyly.

"Oh, you're Hayes' girlfriend right?" She asked putting her hand out and opening the door. I blushed.

"Mom!" Hayes yelled from upstairs.

"Sorry!" She yelled back.

I tallish boy with brown hair and blue eyes appeared behind Hayes mom and I recognized him.

"Oh, so THIS, is Dena?" Nash said suspiciously.

"Yes." Hayes' mom responded. She opened the door and I walked in. I stood for a second of silence with my hands behind my back. Hayes came running down the stairs frantically.

"Sorry!" He said nervously.

"It's okay." I said.

"Yeah, way to keep your girlfriend waiting." Nash said tauntingly.

"Nash!" Hayes mom said.

Hayes and I walked up stairs.

"Don't forget to use a condom!" Nash yelled up the stairs to the two of us. Hayes rolled his eyes.

"Hamilton Nash Grier!" Mrs. Grier said in a scaly voice. I laughed and followed Hayes into his room.

When I walked in, his room was full of tons of letters on the walls full of words that said, "I love you Hayes!" Everywhere.

"Wow." I said, stating the obvious.

"Uh, yeah." He said quietly.

"So, what was this big idea you had?" I asked him, laying down on Hayes bed.

"You can sneak out, and I can help you!" He said.

"What? How?" I asked.

"It's easy, we've snuck out before." He said.

"We've, never..."

"No no no no no." He said chuckling. I sighed in relief.

"So, what's the plan?" I asked.
