Chapter 38

"Woah." Hayes responded.

"What?" I asked, sitting up because my heart was beating so fast.

"I thought you didn't. I was determined that you didn't." Hayes told me, he was messing with my fingers. I laughed, completely hazy about the whole thing. It was like I was too happy, so I just laughed. I laughed and got up out of the bed and went to Elisabeth and Skylynn's room to ask what we were doing today.

"Hey, what are the plans today?" I asked, after I knocked on the door.

"I was just gonna hang out here and sleep with Skylynn. You and the boys can go out, just tell me where." She said, pulling the covers Skylynn. She smiled at me.

I smiled back at her. "Okay. Thanks!" I said. Then I walked back down to tell the boys and we all joined up in the lobby to see where we were gonna go. Nash heard of this cool tourist place. So we all agreed and chose to go to a place called 'Akaka Falls. Nash did some research and said that the waterfall was supposed to be 3.6 miles long. He said that one of his fans recommended it and that they said that you can jump off the waterfall. Everyone seemed up for it and I thought it wasn't a bad idea. After all, we had two more free days, so what the hell.

The ride only took one and a half hours to get there and the hike was only 0.4 miles so it took about a half hour to get to the main waterfall. Everyone was all sweaty and gross because we weren't used to the hot humid weather in North Carolina or whatever. Nash, Hayes and I were about to pass out and almost fell to the floor. We did go to a tropical island in summer...

The view was nice. We were up there, three and a half miles above the surface of the water. The park ranger said it was safe enough to jump off of, apparently the water was pretty deep. I didn't know if I could jump or not. Everyone leaned over the rock to look down and immediately backed up, scared to be pushed off.

"So..." Shawn said, putting his hands in the pockets of his shorts.

"PÜMA!" Carter yelled vastly and ran to me, hugged me, and plunged the both of us off the cliff. It wasn't like one of those cheesy ass parts in a movie where someone nearly dies and their 'whole life' just happens to 'flash' before them. It was like, for a split second my heart stopped, and then started beating really fast. It was like I sneezed. When I hit the water, it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would've. And I splashed Carter and he spit into the water. We swam a little to the side and looked up Hayes was determining whether to go or not.

"Just go!" Nash said laughing and yelling at Hayes.

"Okay, okay!" Hayes said back. Carter and I laughed. He closed his eyes and dove down and smoothly hit the water. He swam up a couple of seconds later and lashed his hair into its original place. He swam over to me and around me. Pulling the bottom of my top string bikini.

"Hayes!?" I said.

"Smooth man!" Carter said putting his fist out for Hayes to bump it, which he did. I couldn't splash them because I was holding into the strings and I looked back up. It was too weird to ask them to tie it. I didn't know why I was so weird about it, but I was the only girl. One of them could do something with the strings, and personally, I didn't want to know.

"Don't you want me to tie it?" Hayes asked, putting his arm up.

"No, no." I said trying to avoid awkwardness.

"Truth or dare." Carter said, a grin on his face.

"Dare, but I'm not flashing you!" I said laughing.

"Next person who jumps has to tie your bikini and kiss you." Carter said. I looked over at Hayes. His eyes watered a bit. So did mine. "Right Hayes?!" Carter said, suspiciousness peaking in his voice.

"Um- yeah." Hayes said, clearing his voice before hand. I gulped and looked back up. I couldn't tell who was about to jump. I was scared as hell.

The next thing I knew they jumped down, their body in the form of a ball and splashed us all. They came up out of the water. I looked over at Hayes and then looked back at them. Carter was smiling.

"Woah." I said.
