Chapter 29

Our camping trip was over and Hayes and I went home and unpacked. It took me a while, like it always does because I hate unpacking and I always get distracted. Hayes finally texted me for the first time after we went home.

Hayes: hey!

Me: hi.What's up?

Hayes: I have big news, come over! bring your parents, mine want to talk to yours.

Me: uh.... okay then Mr. Suspicious.

I put some make up on and changed clothes. I hate not taking showers after road trips, but this time around I didn't have enough time to take a shower.

I ran downstairs and called for my parents. "Mom? Dad?" I yelled.

"Yeah?" my mom called back.

"Hayes wants our whole family to go to their house, apparently they have 'big news' whatever that means." I said, nervous myself.

"Did you do something?" my dad asked.

"No!" I said annoyed by his question. I grabbed my black vans and slipped them on and went over to the Griers house, not wanting to be close to my parents.

I got to their door bell and Mrs. Elizabeth answered the door and told me to come in. Hayes, Nash and Skylyn were in the kitchen, all sitting down at the dinner table. As soon as I walked in they went from cheerfully talking to silent. There was defiantly something weird going on.

I sat down next to Hayes of corse and he placed his hand on mine. He looked so hot today. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

My parents walked in and Mrs. Elizabeth followed. They all sat down at the table with the rest of us kids.

"Okay, so. We all have been close family's. and we trust your child, Dena, enough to invite her to go to California to go to a Magcon tour with us." Mrs. Elizabeth says excitedly and rumbles her hands on the dinner table.

I look over at my parents smiling and widening my eyes. "Oh- well I suppose..." My dad said. My mom nodded and I squealed.

I'm going to Magcon with the Griers in California.
