Chapter 37
The twentieth came soon enough and we all couldn't wait. We all had our bags ready and went to the airport.
The plane ride was weird because I didn't get to sit next to Hayes. Instead I got to sit next to Matt. Sure, he wasn't Chase, but the last time I saw him was weird. I just hoped nothing would happen again that would put me in the same position.
Matt and I would have this little virtual competition where I could tell he was looking at me, it was obvious he was looking at me. And then I looked over at him and he'd look away. All throughout the whole damn flight he'd play that game. And the only time I got a break was when I fell asleep.
As soon as we got off I side hugged Hayes and we all took too many pictures. It was a little unoriginal. We were in the main island Hawaii and we had two free days an then two Magcon days and then three free days again. It was cool. We made our way to our hotel, not missing a chance to take a picture on the way and set up. Elisabeth and Skylynn shared a room, as always. And Carter, Hayes and I shared a room and Matt and Nash shared a room too. Our week was gonna be so fun.
After Carter, Hayes and I got our stuff all set up, I jumped under the covers next to Hayes. He wrapped his arm around me. I smiled. I put one of his legs in between mine. Hayes leaned over and kissed my forehead. Thank God Carter wasn't in the room. Yes we are 13&14 but who the hell cares. It's fucking Hayes Grier for Christ's sakes.
"I still, like you." I said to Hayes. And I was ready for whatever was going to happen next.
