Again, a product of my wacky imagination. You don't like it, you don't read it.

Things were...certainly strange for Adrien.

He didn't know how long ago it had happened, but one day, he just woke up in the middle of a bare field. Overgrown greenish-yellow grass spread out like a blanket over the ground, at least it was soft.

He spent most of his day wandering, making sure to go in the same direction every day so he didn't get any more lost.

It was only after a few days of wandering before he found a small village. He stayed there for a few days and was lucky enough that that village spoke French. He had explained his story to the people of the village and once he had to leave, they gave him supplies and told him the direction to a village that was about a two-week journey away; the village they were talking about was even in the direction Adrien was originally going in.

He was very lucky for someone who was a black cat.

Speaking of being a black cat, Adrien noticed practically on the first day that the ring wasn't in his possession anymore which didn't make him all that happy. He wouldn't have anybody to keep him company.

Either way though, he made sure to press on. He was very determined to find Paris again, and he would do whatever it would take to get back there.

He lost track of time very quickly, but it was about two and a half years before he found two very familiar boxes just laying in an open field.

The boxes were miraculous boxes.

And they contained the black cat ring and the ladybug earrings.

Tikki and Plagg were happy to join Adrien in his quest to find Paris. Tikki was mostly for talking purposes and to have a sense of somebody with him, while he was able to transform with Plagg to move quicker with his baton. It definitely cut the length of his journey by a couple months, possibly even years, but it still wasn't enough.

It still took him another two and a half years to find Paris.

And the only reason he found Paris in the first place was that he came across a smaller town that was only a weeks trip away from Paris. The townspeople gave him directions to Paris and wished him good luck as he left, a determined gleam in his emerald eyes.

Along the whole five year journey, memories would constantly flood in his mind, which, mind you, made great conversation pieces with Tikki.

Patrolling with Ladybug.

Late nights visits to Marinette.

Defeating Akumas.

All those memories only fueled his determination to get back home.

To see his Lady and his Princess.

It practically became a mission for him.

And he fought harder than ever to complete that mission.

Tikki and Plagg were definitely motivating.

Giving inspirational speeches and quotes, well, mostly Tikki did that.

Plagg: HEY!

Me: Oh hush. You know it's the truth.

Plagg: Whatever...

Plagg mostly stayed quiet, but he would pitch in a saying or two when he felt like it.

Paris was only a few miles away, he could sense it.

But there were many things he didn't know.

The fact that Hawkmoth has been defeated and it was his own father, Gabriel Agreste.

The fact that Marinette was Ladybug (Tikki couldn't bring herself to tell him).

The fact that Marinette was now using the moth miraculous for good deeds.

Adrien didn't know any of this, but he didn't care. He was going to figure out soon anyway.

It wasn't going to change a thing.

Right?
