⊙ Children? ⊙ Part 2

Lance

When I woke up, all of the toddlers were sleeping still. And still clinging to me. I felt little arms around my waist only to see Keith hugging me. He was smiling while sleeping. I thought back to what Keith said and how he had a rough childhood. I hope this at least helps him a little from his childhood.

I fell asleep once more, until I heard quiet giggles and large footsteps. I opened my eyes and saw Coran with food goo and the young holding cards. I looked over confused for a minute. They handed me the card saying thank you for saving them from the monsters under their bed. I just smiled and hugged them all. For next 4 or 5 days, we did the same thing everyday.

They would play and I would write everything down or make the battle plans. I would also try and cook like Hunk. I almost nailed making marshmallows. Over the few days, I saw that the Paladins were growing back to their original size. They were all placed in the pods so they can't be in pain from the transformation. But, of course, the Galra attack. I yelled to Coran to watch them while I try and fend them off.

I saw one of them with a needle and tried running up to me. I dodged the first and second attack, but the third struck me in the arm. I hissed in pain, kicking the Galra in the ribs and threw him out. I felt slightly woozy, but yelled for Coran to move the ship.  Then it went black.

Shiro

I woke up seeing Coran helping the princess out of a pod. I saw that all of us were in a pod. All but Lance. Where is he? Before I could ask, Pidge and Keith fell out of the pod. I ran to catch them, both missing the floor. Hunk was sitting on the couch still looking out of it. I looked at Coran who set Allura down on the couch as well. I hauled Pidge and Keith and layed them down. "Coran, what happened? And where's Lance." He looked over at me, " Number three isn't back because he was fighting a Galra that was random. He should be back any minute."

I stared at the door, anticipating when Lance would walk through the door. After a few minutes, I stood up to go find him myself. I walked throughout the halls, trying to find Lance. I walked by the door, only to find Lances jacket and a small heap of a blanket on the ground. I walked over and saw it was moving slightly. I walked cautiously to it and ripped the blanket from above. I saw a little baby. Curly brown hair, freckles, and ocean blue eyes, and Paladin armor scattered around and the chestplate on him.

I removed him from the chestplate, only to find him wrapped in a blue lion onesie. I freaked out because their is a baby here and no Lance. No. I looked back down at the armor and realized that this was Lance. He was turned into a baby. He started babbling and sucking on his thumb. I took his thumb out of him mouth and ran to the others.

When I ran in, Allura saw what was in my hands and stared with confusion. Coran came over and took the baby from me to take a look. I walked over to him because I didn't want anyone to freak out. "Coran, what im about to say is important. When I was looking for Lance, this baby was their, but he was in Lances armor. I think that this baby is Lance because he couldn't have just disappeared." Coran looked at me with happiness. He walked to Allura and told her to hold him for a minute. He walked out of the room and walked back with some toys.

He placed Lance in his lap with the toy in Lances hands. Allura looked curious with Coran at how Lance is. "Is this how all baby's are," she asked. Hunk nodded and handed Lance another toy that he could play with.

She looked down at him and held her hand out for him to hold. He slowly started falling asleep in Alluras hold. "Oh, that also reminds me," Coran started. "Shiro, to answer your question from earlier, You all got turned into children from the last planet we were on. Lance wrote a book about what happened for the last 4 to 5 day while you all were baby's, toddlers, and children." Hunk spoke up, "But how was Allura turned to a child to?" Coran walked over to Allura and took Lance from her.

"She was changed because after you came back, you still had the smell on you that lingered and then you showered, but Allura needed to talk to Shiro so she followed and smelled the gas of the planet. If I knew this would happen, then I would have told you to bring you helmets and wash off in the shower by the door." Coran said. Coran started walking away to the door when Allura shouted, "Where are you going Coran?" He turned to the princess and started, "I'm bringing Lance to infant room." We all followed him to see this room. As we were walking we passed Alluras room and her parents room. We came up to a light blue door with gold stars decorated on it. When we walked in, their were cribs in the walls and a huge, metal table in the middle. The table had cabinets under. They were filled with baby essentials. Coran handed Lance to Allura and worked on getting a crib working.

Coran said they have healing pod abilitys, as well as a built in security system in case of intruders. The crib will have a glass cover put on and fill the pod with light sleeping gas to keep the infant safe. Coran shouted as the crib burned him, but never the less started working. Allura placed Lance in the crib who was babbling and trying to grab at us. Allura smiled and let Lance grab onto her finger. Pidge sat on a chair that was under the table and started working on her laptop. Hunk was looking around with Keith at what was in the room.

I saw a shelf filled with some toys and some Altean books. I saw the door had a red button next to it. "Hey Coran. What's with the red button next to the door?" Coran looked over at it, then back to his work on the crib. "That was used for if something happened down here. Wether it be a child being kidnapped to an intruder. The door will lock and if someone needed tok escape, theirs a button behind the painting that will open a door that leads to the control room." I nodded to him and looked around somemore before we were lead out.

"You lads can go. Number five can help me get this crib in working order and we can let Lance sleep. Go enjoy yourselfs," Coran beamed at us. We all agreed and went our separate ways. After some time, we all met back at the infant room, not use to the scilence of the ship. We walked in to see Coran still working oin the pod, but Pidge was sitting in the crib with a sleeping Lance. "The lad woke up crying and Pidge sleeping with him is the only thing keeping him asleep," we heard Coran say. We all walked over and saw how cute they were for each other.

We sat at the table and found a deck of Altean cards. Allura was showing us some Altean game that we couldn't follow. Instead we taught her how to play 'Old Maid' and 'Go Fish'. She understood after a little and we played until we had to leave. Coran guided us to the bridge to get work done while Pidge and Lance nap. Or should have until the alarm went off.

Sorry this took so long. I'm not ready for Tuesday. I'm going back to school, sophomore year everybody, and I have no classes with my best friend. It sucks.
